Seeing Adrian as a slave in Minrathous would be... beyond glorious.

Purchasing her would be even better.

Assuming she was at the conclave, she's most likely and obviously dead. Someone like her would like to get a front-row seat at the peace talks for mage independence.

Well, those "civilians" (for all that they are effectively at war) willingly walked into their situation while the Templars were being deceived.

Edit:  not that I don't feel sympathy for some of the mages, who feel they must go along with the crazy ones for fear of being turned out alone and friendless in the Hinterlands.  If not outright murdered by their fellow mages for insufficient fervor.

They include children and other noncombatants, so it remains non-negotiable.

Eh, I am sure the Venatori will treat them right, I mean they are their loving Tevinter masters :P

Mage freedom yada yada.

I never noticed that, because it's really hard to see character model detail unless pausing in tac cam and angling the camera toward them.

Maybe they wanted Venatori to be human but still wanted elf models for other enemies? The different body types help distinguish the factions?

Yeah, Maybe it's to make them distinct.

I'll have to look for that the next time I play. I thought a lot of the rebels had that Anders jacket look? I think this is one of those game design choices that don't actually mean anything, or they did it for gamey reasons, like model size and such, as vbibbi suggests.

I'm playing on hard with some trials, so I need to use tactical camera especially this early in the game. So I can see them quite clearly.   They are definitely all elves, and they are even wearing keeper robes.  All of them.

What's great is how people STILL think Tevinter is at the very least "much better" than the south when it comes to mages.

So I guess Templar supporters are fine with child slavery and killing so long as it's mages.

Funny how Templar supporters also ignore the silver shield ending

Here we go again with the generalizations....

At least put some effort into it if you're gonna making such outrageous accusations like that.

Definitely not better. Just different. It's a different region with a different history than Southern Thedas.

The sad thing is that Gaider debunked the whole slavery thing back in the days of DAO.

I mean seriously, this the quintessential beating of a zombified horse.

So the Venatori are going to give the mage kids candy and read them fairy tales? Do tell me how the Venatori are going to treat the Mage kids.

That occurs if Vivienne becomes Divine. Do your research first.

I know that. Ive been the only one who ever even talked about it. It shows the Templars are still the same mage hating douchebags they've always been and that all this talk about how the Templars are redeemed is complete BS.

Try harder

You assume every Templar hates mages. Your bias is showing, my dear.

You assume all the Mage hate the Templars have show magically disappears if you side with them or that all bad Templars were turned into red Templars were killed.

Your bias is showing my dear.

I had 2 question about her. "Is she really that stupid?" and "Can I kill her?".
As I said before, they were answered in that moment.

Not judging her was a wasted opportunity.

Who in their right minds would let Adrian be within a mile of the peace talks?

They include children and other noncombatants, so it remains non-negotiable.

You can't fight a war that leads to the deaths of thousands of members of a society in order for that society to radically alter the way it interacts with you and then still expect the very rules you were fighting against to protect you if you need them to.

You can either fight for independence or expect the assistance of Templars and those espousing their beliefs. You can't have both.

...who willingly got into bed with Tevinter

So all those mages saying they would have never sided with Tevinter and disapprove of the alliance with Tevinter means every Mage totally supports the alliance with Tevinter?

And that justifies letting kids become slaves, be used as sacrifices for blood magic, or have demons but inside them?

And people say I generalize

Damn right.

I mean Zeon fights for independence all the time, and they do anything and everything in their power to succeed, they kick off the most devastating series of wars in human history to that effect. But at the same time? They stick to what they fight for, they keep fighting because they are unwilling to accept the token concessions and rule of Earth, this is why you have a period of conflict spanning a half century, between the Federation and Zeon, and at the end of it no one really won. Billions of people dead, entire generations raised to hate each other and at the end of the day? The Federation crumbles, and Zeon's politics get outdated.

So yes I am in full agreement here, fight if you want but don't expect the box to be closed again as easily, Zeon and Federation went through a few periods of peace that ended for one reason or another, and ultimately its about the same for this war. You have the two sides, their stances and politics, and both sides willingly to commit to and proceed to kill each other, that doesn't go away. There is no 'timeout' in war.

Probably because children or mages like Connor don't really have a fighting chance against an army of heavily armed zealots who kill every mage on sight.

I killed those "heavily armed zealots" myself and established a heavy Inquisition presence in the Hinterlands.  The rest of the Templars were literally on the other side of the country.

It's the mage zealots in Redcliffe that were the real threat to them.
