I just logged in and noticed the nudity thread was locked. I lol'd, took em long enough. I'm waiting for Nekkid thread part 2 to appear anytime now.

I hope not. I've been battling the porn simulator crowd for too long. I am not against nudity and i am not a prude, but there are more important things to the game then skin and nerps.
General chat? Well i just saw Batman V Superman, and it rocked, but the critics hate it, nothing new there.

So, seeing as I like to go off topic in threads it would be for the best to contain this habit in one spot.

I have a suggestion for the sequel...
Nudity 2.0 Now With Even More Nudity

I wonder what was the final straw that did it? Not that I"m sad to see it go, was well in that spinning wheels in the mud route.
General conversation topic seems like a pretty good idea for a thread I approve, which means nothing.
Random note still trying out my male character in FO4 poor Dick keeps getting his arse handed to him. Probably shouldn't of gone with a build with an endurance of 1.

Low endurance doesn't have that much of an impact it used to have. For me giving up on manual aiming and using only VATS helped tremendously (plus adding points to luck, so you get a higher critical chance). Sometimes one shot in VATS did equal damage to 7 manual headshots...
Add a weapon that has range and you should be ok.
Also, read about the companions, they're extremely easy to miss.

I've yet to actually beat the game, I don't have much investment in the main story^^;. I guess I"m just using really cruddy weapons with him then. Tried a low INT and Idiot Savant for leveling but hasn't seemed to work to well. Also trying a sniper build for the first time, but yeah my gun sucks and I don't have enough caps to buy where I heard a really good sniper rifle was at.
I may also be wasting levels on pointless things like improving SPECIAL stats first^^;

You generally don't buy good weapons, most of mine (aside from that awesome Gauss rifle) were custom built, but you do need perks for that. Have to say though, a lot of the perks are totally pointless, so you have to choose carefully. (I chose high INT so I'd level up faster, and I think that worked ok)
I forgot about the main quest pretty early on. Just like with Skyrim, I visited narrative crucial places way before the game told me to. Explored a huge chunk of the map before getting past Diamond City.
The companions don't always have to be found (when it comes to the main storyline), but I recommend searching for them earlier, because they make even pointless wandering much more enjoyable. Also, please find Danse. He's a precious tin can, and I want more people to like him ![]()

Also, concerning the nudity thread, there seems to be a removed post that's now only linked in a quote. I wonder what it was that the whole thread came down.
Should we expect a "Nudity LI" thread soon?

Go for Gun Nut. If you have a short Hunting Rifle, they're pretty easy to find, that can be modified until you get something better.

I have played the game before not too terribly much of it I think (got as far as the teleporter thing) I mention buying a gun cause when I looked it up a very highly recommend sniper was something you could buy off of someone in the vault but it's about 3000 caps with a 10 Charisma and I maybe have 4.
I adore Danse he is frackening adorable to flirt with. I mean Hancock is still probably my main squeeze but Danse is in the top three without a doubt.
I do really regret trying to rely on Idiot Savant for leveling up, it feels like it hardly goes off for me but maybe I just have poor luck (my INT is currently 3 so I can still mod my weapons.)

Idiot Savant really is a mixed bag. If you go with 1 - 3 Intelligence it will be worth it, in my opinion. I tried with 6 once though so i could add Science as a perk aswell, but it never procced on any quests, only a few mobs now and then. I think there is a good balance between the procc and a good level of Intelligence for max levling speed though. I could talk about min-max all day
love it!

Huh the teleporter? That's actually quite far into the story. Once I stopped exploring and started doing missions, it was over quite fast.
Danse is cute, and he really made me spend more time with the game than I would have without him. Without spoiling anything, if you ever want to do a run where you romance him, you need to go with the Brotherhood quests (up to a point) to get his quest and to be able to max his relationship.

I think that's why I got that far in the first place with the story, I was trying to romance him in that run so got some tips on how far in the BOS story to get him. Then I quickly stopped after I got him cause i made the mistake of trying to max out everyone's affinity points for me.
If I can find of more places to grind with Dick or heck even an earlier save I think I'll switch back to just an INT based level system didn't seem to bad in my first run and I like being able to mod my weapons fully (I usually switch to energy weapons in FO3 and FONV so I usually take Science in FO4 just in case)
I'm thinking if I can just find a good gun for now to replace my pipe sniper rifle I can march on forward with Dick. Just hoping i can go back to a home base safely, my last save had me snuggled between mercs, supermutants, and a deathclaw.

For cereal though, if lasers are more your thing then try the laser musket with a scope.
Early on, it's a good sniper rifle if a little annoying to use since it has to be cranked with every shot.

Why was maxing out affinity a mistake?
For a long time I used the weapon Danse gave me, Righteous Authority. With some mods, it's quite powerful. The gunslinger perk helped too.

I feel ashamed that just now hit me how that sounded^^; Usually I do that on purpose ![]()
Oh I do have one on me actually I think it was a special weapon, been holding back on it to find more screws to give it a full stock but it would probably do a lot more damage than my current one. Just need to work on finding some ECells but that shouldn't be too hard. Could probably buy some in Goodneighbor if I need to.

Got bored very quickly of a grind of it more or less^^. I was trying to do it with everyone which was the problem.
I've yet to get Danse though I do have the quest to go help him, just trying to remember about what level I should be so I don't get utterly destroyed. I think I should be fine at my current level though I'm probably just overthinking any strategies at the moment with my character.

That's true, I guess. I maxed out those I didn't really like, so I could spend more time with those I do.
It's an early mission, so I think you'll be ok. I did it like right at the beginning.

As I journeyed there with my faithful Dogmeat I started running into bad guys who were a little bit too much for my underpowered and outgunned vault-dweller and I kept dying, and so I cursed my brother and put the game aside. But I am gonna get back to it one day.

I've gotten away from Fallout 4 a little bit lately. My brother told me about a vault that was "just a little ways south of the starting area."
A little? The nearest one is like halfway down the map. Either he's terrible at reading maps, or he's messing with you ![]()
The game gets harder the more south you go, I think.

I hear usually level 20 is pretty good for if your traveling south. Though if you're impatient like me and say want to get to Goodneighbor to get a certain ghoul who will supply you with chems and never judge you for using them, you'll probably get your butt handed to you trying to head down there around level 9 or less^^; Having higher sneak did help though. I still need to actually recruit him and McCready, then Deacon. I need to do a lot still ![]()
