I'll never pre-order a game in this day and age with all the pre-order hype and games getting pre-orders on debut.

Based on plenty of other bioware games I purchased.

If I can install and enjoy a game 10 years after it's release it says something.

 

could really use new Mass Effect now.. so heck why not.

Also as proper bioware fan I usually pre-order the new game - > pre load and play as soon as they out.

iirc this game should have been released during 2016 so I was wondering when the pre-order option is out.

Not a set date. They have a launch window, which is the first three months of 2017.

No. Originally it was being targeted for a Holiday 2016 release date, but recently EA said it was being targeted for a Q4 2017 release window, which is January-March 2017. This summer is when we'll start getting info on it most likely.

That's what I meant. I get confused with fiscal years sometimes. I just know it got pushed back from Holiday 2016 to Early 2017.

Actually I believe Bioware's quarter 4 ends in February 2017.  Their fiscal year does not equate a calendar year.

 

The Fourth Quarter of 2016 begins October 1 and ends December 31. Q1-to-Q4 refer to tax quarters, not a company's fiscal report schedule. Jan-March 2017 is Q1 2017.

Oh, but on-topic, I'm in the "I don't pre-order games anymore" camp. Perhaps coincidentally, the one and only time I did it was with ME 3.

 

But I'm also in the "I don't buy games the day they're released" camp, as well. I've only done that twice. Perhaps even more coincidentally, the other was DA 2. In my case, I made an exception for BioWare with ME 3 and DA 2, and quickly learned not to make exceptions, anymore.

 

I'm not anticipating ME:A, but I will likely get it. When I get it and how much I'm willing to pay for it will be based on what I learn from reviews and word of mouth over the weeks after it is released.

 

It'll be cool if it's good, but if it isn't, I doubt it'll bother me much.
