I'm praying for bioware to get people who know how to motion capture fights scenes and techniques properly. People with actual martial arts experience.
They'd better!!! Lazy douches!!!EA won't want to hire experts! They cost more money.
My protag doesn't need to fight, when she can put a hole between the guys eyes from a distance or walk to him cloaked and ram an omni-blade into his gut.
same here like Garrus I prefer the bullet between the eyes at 100 metres approach
sure but not every enemy is going to be 100 meters away. When it a meter or two, that's when the real fun begins. Snapping necks and busting skulls. Biotic smashing and omni striking! Omni knuckles!!!!!!same here like Garrus I prefer the bullet between the eyes at 100 metres approach
Since there will probably be some sort of melee strike with the weapons, I hope it looks realistic.

I don't know about that I always manage to keep them at range. Anyone that tends to try to get close ends up with a biotic shockwave heading towards them either from me or Jack in ME2 if I don't have that ability. Pretty damn effective defence I'd say
That's your style. I prefer to use hand to hand skills like thane to take my enemies out at close range.
I'd rather any potential melee combat goes down like this.
I wish we could do that to Phantoms.
I wish I could take the phantoms sword and cut it's head off.I wish we could do that to Phantoms.

As one should.
If you have a gun and find yourself in melee combat, I imagine the old boxing axiom about having your back to the ropes would be applicable: if you find yourself there, you ****** up a long way back.
agreed. But when meeting people your probably gonna meet some tough guys who need your boot up their @$$. Hand to hand training is just as important as weapon training. You're a warrior. Lose your weapon, switch to your blade, lose your blade you go to your hands. I have training and I know what it's like to butt heads with someone. Say if I were a vanguard I'd like to charge in and either fire my weapon or heavy melee my enemy. Both are fine.As one should.

I'm still preferential to the Jason Bourne fights. Pen, car key.
Of course, I know nothing about fighting. But still.
Quit bumping your own dead threads. If you're bored, get a hobby.
I'm having a bad day and you're not helping. You wanna be an a$$? Do it somewhere else, otherwise, stay out of it.Quit bumping your own dead threads. If you're bored, get a hobby.
EA has a huge motion capture studio at their Burnaby location (I toured it when it opened). That's where they do mo-cap for all their sports games.EA won't want to hire experts! They cost more money.

And there's your answer. Sports games seem to take 1st priority over there.
But that includes combat sports. It would be trivial for them to do the same with lethal combat in other game genres. And there's your answer. Sports games seem to take 1st priority over there.
