Okay, let's see...
Asking if "Stunlock" will be a faction.
- This is an ME 3 MP reference, mostly, although all the references apply to SP as well. Geth stunlock is annoying in SP, but pause-and-play combined with the ability to use up to three wildly variant kits to create the combos you want largely trivialize Geth stunlock, even on Insanity. But in MP, there is no such luxury. There is no pause, there is no three-kit with 12 powers each combo options. You get one kit with three powers. Good luck. In this scenario, calling the Geth the "Stunlock faction" is actually a bit of a kindness.
78% Geth 22% Star Trek the Motion Picture
- As tongue in cheek as your answer and my percentages are, there is a better than 50% chance the Geth will be in ME:A. Do I have evidence for this? No. Am I confident enough that I'd bet at 1 to 1 odds? Yes.
- The whole line about the probes coming back to Earth is lifted from a few sci fi movies, but most people who've seen Star Trek: The Motion Picture will recognize the bulk of the suggested plot as having been lifted wholesale from that film. The final reference to the probe being named "Vger" is a direct reference to "Vger" the principal antagonist from ST:TMP.
- If I'd been smart, I'd have added 10% Tungsten is a reference to Bender the Robot from Futurama. Not only is he a robot (as is the thread's subject) but one of the running jokes on Futurama was Bender explaining his composition, which always contained a variable percentage of Tungsten, as well as a total percentage exceeding 100 (but it was never the same twice, of course.)
