Hi All. Just today I bought a second GTX 980 FTW to SLI...But I'm curious- in the Graphics menu it says that I only have DX 11 on my system, and yet Windows 10 comes with DX 12 (as does the 980 series). And wasn't DAI supposed to utilize DX 12? How do I ensure that DX 12 is running and enabled?

Options -> Display -> Graphics API.
But many "not-quite-current-gen" nVidia cards (incluiding my GTX770) don't support ALL the DX12 functionality.

Not sure where you read we were going to support it...
Hello and good morning. Firstly, allow me to say that after doing some digging I see now that I was wrong to assume or think that DAI was giong to support DX12. I have since found a thread on the EA Support page that clearly says "Dragon Age Inquisition supports DX 11 and was designed with that in mind".
Looking back, I think I assumed that (or hoped for it) because Windows 10 was released around the same time (give or take a few months) of DAI....so I hoped that they would be close enough in their release together that, perhaps DX 12 would be supported. (New OS, new technologies/engines etc...It was hopeful to think that they would come hand-in-hand and be in development together, if you take my meaning) That assumption, incorrect as it was...is on me. To Thandal N'Lyman, I thank you for your advice about the game settings...and to Mr. Bryan Johnson and the rest of Bioware....please accept my apologies.

Then why does it have a f%cking option to apparently CHANGE it from DX11 to.............. what? DX9?
