Caer Oswin during Cass's Promise of Destruction quest after you kill Lord seeker Lucius ![]()
Was the large out of bounds area in the Hinterlands closed? I haven't been able to get back in there lately.
WILL INVESTIGATE!
There's a cool ghost ship out in Caer Oswin as well...
Awesome!

Hmm, strange...
WILL INVESTIGATE!
I don't think anything has changed though as I was playing around there maybe... a week or two ago.

Ah... found it!
Well... it might actually have been a good thing you didn't get on this ladder. You may not be able to go up, but you sure as hell can go down. ![]()

Seems to be okay on my end... how are you getting OOB?

That's so cool! I still can't get over how pretty Inquisition is. Caer Oswin is one of the places, where I just stood after finishing the mission to look at the view.

Indeed! It's a damn shame we have so little to do in Caer Oswin, the landscape is gorgeous and the lighting in the region is second to none... ![]()

Yeah wish that it was a full region.
This is part of the reason I'm happy they went with separate locations instead of a full open world. That way we can have Caer Oswin (and the indeed beautiful lighting), and, for example, the Fallow Mire (love the atmosphere there) in one game.

Totally agree.
The only thing I'm missing is changing weather in some areas.
I know Crestwood changes from Night/Rain to Day/mostly sunny with some rain and the Frostback Basin changes from Day to Night, but I had loved it if, for example, the Hissing Wastes would sometimes have day time and everyone would complain about the heat.
Or at least an occasional sandstorm would've been nice.
(no, I don't count the poisonous fumes in the Western Approach, or the harsh wind in the Wastes when you try to go OOB
)

Yeah, hopefully in the next game we'll have true day/night cycles, dynamic weather and the odd nug-nado... ![]()
Remember the Pax Prime gameplay video Bioware originally showed? The Western Approach looked great at night (16:22)! And those dust-devils (17:26)! ![]()

Wow
(I admit, I never watched it to the end before
)
Looks like a different game xD tbh that early gameplay reminds me even more of Final Fantasy XII then it did before
(DAI reminds me of a mix between FFX-2 and FFXII. FFX-2 because of you have to choose between two factions (Youth League/New Yevon =/= Mages/Templars) and FFXII because of the many large areas and the many different weapons you can have (from crossbows, to riffles, to 1H swords etc))
Okay Hrungr (or any other fine explorer in this thread
), how does one reach the mirror located in the part of the library, where your PC meets the Viddasala for the first time. I don't currently have a screenshot (though I can definitely have one by tomorrow), but it is located on the left platform - there are two side platforms: the one of the right from where our company enters has a archery target that shows as an "enemy" type (with a health bar
), when you first target it. You can jump up onto that platform, from the stairway pedestal thing, since the railing around that particular platform is broken (and there is a chest up there). The opposite platform also has the same sort of stairway pedestal that could be used for jumping to the platform, except the lack of a broken railing on said platform prevents you from getting up there. It is on this particular platform, that an "intact" eluvian can be seen. I WANT TO GO THROUGH THAT DAMN MIRROR!!
Thoughts? (if my explanation was at all coherent. lol!)
I've been up there, and while it is intact - you can't use it. I've tried (oh, how I've tried...).
