There's a cool ghost ship out in Caer Oswin as well...
How did you get out there? Horses won't appear in this area and I just couldn't figure out this glitch. Please (humbly bows) help this poor amateur! ![]()

I use a LinGon trainer which allows you to make really big jumps and so I just hop over the invisible barriers and away you go (just be careful though, as long falls will still auto-kill you
).
So, no way hoping my characters will make an accidental jump through invisible walls . . . thanks. I have looked into getting LinGon, mostly not sure about it. But thanks, glad to know jumping on all the walls won't make any difference
Saved me hours of pain.
For what it's worth, I was happy to be able to glitch Frostback basin. The waterfall is where to go. I accidentally discovered that if you ride the horse to the highest ledge, dismount, your other characters bounce up to the top of the waterfall and so, you're off to the races, so to speak!
It's fun, but so much of the land out there in Frostback basin is 'vapor', I walk can around the lake and then just fall through what looks like solid ground. But for all that, it's cool. Some of the other glitches are strange, like Storm Coast. When you get out real far, the geometry of the land gets wonky and it's like huge chunks of sticky glue, I can hardly walk even with a mount. It's big though. Just huge. Why on earth is so much of the land area not technically playable, I wonder?
Have you managed to glitch Skyhold and Haven? I got Skyhold (awesomely huge, btw) but Haven is just impossible to me. Thanks again for the help!
Want to post some pics from flickr, but keep getting a stupid error message. "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community"
Can I just upload from my computer? *sigh*
Explored around a bit in the Winter Palace (Tresspasser), found a couple of funny/interesting things...
People milling about... and random... things...
A giant, uh... checkerboard box. ![]()
And a swanky, private bedroom... with no way in. ![]()
Were you able to get this using the LinGon software? I might have to download that and get crazy. Hm, well, more crazy . . .

Yeah, as you get further away from the in-bounds regions, the terrain geometry gets coarser and coarser so it's tougher to get around. And, as you've discovered, at some point the solid ground just ends. ![]()
I have gotten out of Skyhold and Haven (actually, every area in the game at this point...). There's fun stuff like the singing pie, glowing bench and this... random window out on the glacier.

Yeah, with the LinGon trainer it's a lot easier to get OOB and get up vertical areas you wouldn't normally be able to... ![]()
The window looks like one of the doors in the Inqs. bedroom . . . wild times I guess ![]()
I'm guessing Haven is also only by way of LinGon?
Otherwise the mounts are really helpful at getting out of bounds. In Frostback basin, the developers tied up the place so well that the waterfall technique is the only one I've found that works, short of cheat engines, that is. I'm wondering how much of our talking about it online has helped them make their games even harder to glitch . . .
The glitchable areas are fun, Skyhold gives the impression that they had way more ideas for it. I always wondered if there was a town at the base of the mountain, and it sure looks big enough. Honestly, they really could have put on there I just don't get why the area is so large and not used. I found out if I go far enough over one range of mountains that it is the same area where the Inq. got lost in the snow finding Skyhold the first time. Even the in game map switches to the one for that part of the fame, just not the heavy winds and snow.
Also, the other side is much harder to get around and the weird geometry keeps me from getting to plenty of areas. I just get stuck in the ground. So I may look into LinGon for things like this. Thanks again!
Don't even ask me how I got here... I'm not even sure myself. I was wandering around OOB, then... *poof*
Really cool Hrungr. Nice find!
Welcome
I'd love to go more OOB, but I only know two places where I can go OOB without using a mod for it
(one is the tavern in Skyhold and the other that one balcony in Val Royeaux)
You can go OOB in the Hinterlands near the western gate, just by walking - jumping - up a hill and going behind the exit gate -you can walk all the way around to Redcliffe castle (and through the water). You can also go OOB in the Emerald Graves by Chateau D'Onterre, also by walking. Oh, and by Sulevin Keep. I have some pictures. But none as neat as Hrungr's!
Cool finds TC.

Spoiler
Thanks for the tips ![]()
I tried to go OOB in the Hinterlands, but somehow didn't know which hill was meant, so I went OOB at the pier

I did find the window in Suledin Keep tho

The Bonetower vanished when I got too close. ![]()
Also I found a loot chest with some random stuff inside ![]()
So the Western gate... Your closest camp is the one in Hafters Woods/Bear hell/Lyrium Smuggler territory. When facing the gate, there is a hill you can walk up to the right. Once you get up that hill, there will be another hill to the left. You kind of half to walk/hop up it. And I find the game will try to not let you do it, but it can totes be done. You then walk down the hill and will be behind the gate in a wide valley (I will try to take some pictures tonight for you!). And you can literally walk all the way around to Redcliffe castle. You can get on the other side of Redcliffe village where the bridge is out. It's neat. The trees up there in that OOB area are weird though. They are like.. 2D half finished trees that "move" out of your way..

.... I just realized that I searched by the wrong gate.

Those trees sound great xD I saw trees like that in the Emprise, when you walk around the arena(?) where the Highland Ravager lives.
Yay. Glad you found it!

Yeah, I was a the wrong gate the first time ![]()
Also I got chased by a bear when I went up that hill. Talk about dangerous wild life. ![]()
Reminds me of the time accidentally went OOB in the EG.
All trees vanished, it looked like a lumberjack had gone nuts ![]()
Cool stuff guys!
Anyone found anything interesting in the Hissing Wastes? That's my favorite region in the game.

Heh, I found one area in the OOB region which would continually spawn random wildlife, one after another... which would then keel over dead within 2 seconds of appearing. Within a couple of minutes I had a small mountain of hides ready to pick up. ![]()
Lol that's funny. But a shame too, was expecting the Hissing Wastes to have some interesting stuff OOB

Yeah, unfortunately, like the Forbidden Oasis, there's just... more desert in the HW OOB regions. The Western Approach on the other hand has a number of cool things (towers, keeps, the Abyssal Rift, the "Holy Grail"... )

Aww, well, damn. But yeah I've seen a bunch of the Western Approach OOB things, and I was just hoping Hissing Wastes had something, like some ruins.

It's possible there still might be something out there, just well hidden (it's a huge area)... The only thing that caught my eye was this tough-to-reach mini-shrine near the dragon. It was one of those things I wondered if it had any hidden significance...

Well the statue is a symbol of Mythal , golden statues like this often means ancient elves origin too...But with what we've learned in Trespasser , it's not a surprise some ancient dwarves might have statues of elven gods.
Nice touch though.
