Secret Chateau in Trespasser & Exploring the OOB!

NEW REQUEST: Beyond the northern cliff face of Emerald Graves. The land below has some structures. Might all be cardboard standee stuff, though. Might not even be a real area, just a painting, like the distant mountains in the Western Approach.
If that doesn't pan out, which is likely, how about The Wellspring, final area in Descent? Lots of interesting Sha-Brytol structures there.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Actually, you can get under the water in Storm Coast, but you have to go way out of the way OOB to do it. Maybe you have tried this, but this is how I got it.
I got out of bounds and made my way around to the east until the land got too sticky, then went north and hit the coast. The water still will kill you here, so keep working your way east along the coast line, usually with a mount at this point until you see the edge of the world. Walk right to the edge and you will see the water ends just a few feet short of it. Run along the waterless part of the edge north until the northern boundary appears. Then you have a little more grace to go under the water at this point, just not too much. You have to go all the way across the northern border until the western edge of Storm coast, then head south and there is a great deal of this water you can go underneath to get to the land over there. It is very hard to navigate, because of the weird geometry, but the mount got me all the way to the southern edge.
The weird thing about the water is the instant death/kill so far OOB. So you can make your way close to the real map underwater here, but as soon as you're in sight of the island with the dragon, you just die. I hated hated the random automatic death/kill zones. Like Hrungr pointed out in Emprise, the large area OOB he had to skirt near the river bank because of auto kill. Just hated that. I wish it could be modded out, along with 'invisible Wall'.
Also, as a side note. Seeing Skyhold in the blizzard reminds me to ask: Does anyone know why BW didn't implement changing weather more often in the game? Crestwood and Frostback Basin proved they could change the lighting any time and for me, the game would feel a lot fresher after 300 hours or more if each zone could have a random 'switch' IMHO.
Good tip on the Storm Coast! I'd been to both edges of the world but hadn't run along the edges north.
I was disappointed as well we didn't more regions with changing weather, or the dust devils we saw in the E3 trailer, or the sandstorms we were supposed to see that would drive us to find shelter.
After you've taken a break ... your jumper must be tired after all the Super Mario stuff!

No problem - they're tons of fun to do, and I'm still running into new things when I re-explore them. ![]()
I've been to both before and yeah, there are some interesting ruins and towers in the northern valley of the EG. And the stalactite village in Descent is another good one, as well as the OOB region above it's "ceiling".

Thanks! ![]()
The only downside is that it's a long slog to get there from Flemeth (the Fade is huge...) But still, nothing beats playing hopscotch on all the overhead arches and floaty things. ![]()

NEW REQUEST: Beyond the northern cliff face of Emerald Graves.
The Northern Valley of the Emerald Graves!
(with creepy 2D trees in glorious 1080p!)
And for anyone exploring the OOB EG, there's a valley to the west which is the perfect peaceful riding spot. ![]()

Yea that wasn't done just for convenience me thinks. There is a subtle hint there.

I finally made it out of Adamant - I found a pile of logs and used the tactical camera to glitch myself to the other side. It was quite satisfying
.
It wasn't as awesome as Hrungr's, but I did manage to find this buildingless sconce:

And the Veil Fire Fields were pretty cool:

This is too much fun.
Awesome work Hrungr BTW on finding so many cool places!
Those screenshots of The Nightmare Demon are priceless.

Yeah, it's too bad you can't map the OOB. On top of it, you can go further than even your route trail will show...

I have to admit, as a "final level" for the DLC, it was brilliantly designed. In fact, I tip my hat to the entire Inquisition environment design team. DAI was a far better looking game than I was expecting... ![]()
(which, of course, just raises my expectations that much more for DA4...

Too bad...?
The only thing I didn't care about Descent's lyrium was that that it felt too "twiggy". I prefered the meatier lyrium we had in DA2...

I mean the lyrium is supposed to be deadly but our team was rubbing up on them with no consequences

I agree. I am hoping they put more levels like this in the next one.
I also like when the Sha-Brytol first appear as eyes and movement in the dark...so exciting. I really hope the DLC's are signs of what we can expect from the next game.

Which makes me wonder... If Seekers are resistant to Red (Blighted) Lyrium, are they also resistant to the Blight itself?

I know I'm behind, since the black box in Val Royeaux was pages ago, but I finally found it - In Dorian falling-through-world fashion
.

I spent a long time trying to find a way to OOB in Val Royeaux, but...as you all probably know, just gotta know where to jump off

I've wondered this myself. It would make sense if they were, but as Addictress pointed out, I am not sure if all the supposed consequences of Lyrium or Blighted Lyrium are really taken into account.
I think this is a missed opportunity to really put to use the party system. If we're going on missions that have to do with proximity to dangerous materials, then I really shouldn't be able to bring just any ole one. This would force me to make decisions about who "needs" to come opposed to who I "want" to come. It would be an interesting dynamic.
BTW- does anyone wonder if there some connection between Lyrium and Phazon in Metroid Prime? I wonder if the writers were inspired by that
.
Gone off subject - sorry.

I glitched Caer Oswin without a trainer. Once again, level 1 evade gets it done.
When you arrive at Caer Oswin with Cassandra and others, there is a tower up on a hill with 2 loot bags here:
Get up on the stone wall that has stair like formations:
Keep using level 1 evade until you get up in the crack, so to speak ![]()
Then angle up and to the left with evade over and over, then you will be on top of the stone and out of the boundary.
Have fun!
