Don't worry about it.. I'm sure she's got a better name for everyone else.
Didn't you take Donk's joke seriously the other day too? Relax. ![]()
Ok. I just got back from my suspension so I thought that she reported me because of the actual mature content but she told me she didn't. The auto moderators are stupid BTW.Don't worry about it.. I'm sure she's got a better name for everyone else.

People said the same thing about Skyrim, but then Dragon Age: Inquisition was horrible because it was too much like Skyrim.
Not a universally held opinion.
Always played Mass Effect on PC but i will never understand why the run button on consoles isn't LS/L3
Thar we should be careful about whast we ask for otherwise it migh tend up being a screwed up mess.
Oh that's gonna happen anyway.
BioWare is going to listen to their fanbase and it's going to be garbage.
I honestly didn't have a problem with the "Spacebar does everything" schtick.
Granted, I'm a "mouse-n-keyboard" when it comes to Mass Effect, so maybe it's a controller thing.
But for me it was very intuitive and it felt very ergonomic. If I'm sprinting I'm holding down space; if I continue holding it down towards cover, I take cover; if I double-tap, I vault and keep going. It just clicked for me (pun semi-intended).
I do agree with the idea of a bit more movement-freedom. Being able to jump in Dragon Age: Inquisition was many a life-saver, since I didn't have to get trapped by a broken chair or a small pile of bricks when fighting Pride and Despair demons.
That said, I don't want the next Mass Effect to homogenize with more "open-world" games like Skyrim of some such. Regardless of how you feel about Inquisition, the ability to jump is VERY helpful in gameplay terms, but BioWare games are played for their story more than raw mechanics. (I still like the mechanics, but the story takes precedence).
BioWare narratives favor a landscape of semi-linearity rather than raw, open-world; because it provides greater focus on said narrative. But being able to jump wouldn't compromise that.

Anyone with a shred of distinction, is not ok with that. It's terrible design for M&K. My guess is you don't play action titles, and you definitely don't play them online.

Never said it was for there is never a universally held opinion, but there were plenty of people that were saying that Dragon Age needed to be more like Skyrim and that is what we got. I personally much rather BioWare just make their game and not try and clone another game because that is what a few people on a message board said.

Exactly. Simple is that. If I wanted them to be like Bethesda, I would have just played Bethesda games (which I have).
This is probably not going to be a popular suggestion, but I would like the ability to directly control my squadmates during combat. I would also like some time to revive the protagonist when they go down, rather than immediately receiving the "critical mission failure" notification and having to reload.
I'm actually in favor of this.
I'd just like companions to be more involved in combat.
I can't quite say why, but does anyone else feel that your squad had more 'presence' on the battlefield in ME2 than ME3?
I'd say the same thing about DA2 as well. It isn't realistic, but combat shouts and stuff is lively. I remember Gaider said DA2 banter was stupid, so they didn't do it in DAI. But it ended up being dry and sterile. "DIE!" There's no personality to that. While in ME2, every companion's combat calls were pretty memorable. "Fly b*tch!!" And Garrus' "Impressive!" was unintentionally funny.... since he'd do it for his own shots.
I'm not against them improving the animations to make them feel more fluid and natural.
Though I think the overall pace of combat was good in ME3 and don't think they need to make us able to flip around the map. I play Warframe for that style of combat.
However I am also not against them including a jetpack because it's proven scientific fact that jetpacks improve anything by at least 500%.
Definitely having squadmates more involved in the combat shouts and I loved that in ME3 sometimes they would get worried about you and warn you before walking into dangerous zones or doing extra dangerous stuff.

Finally.

How and where is motion capture used in a video game? Is it just for cutscenes and pre-defined movements that the player cannot alter, or for a basis of on-the-fly graphical rendering? I'm doing a little research on this because of your comments, and would like to hear from you about your ideas of increasing the use of mocaps for a game like ME:A. What do you have in mind?
I particularly agree that a woman's movements will be a little different than a man's in a few situations, so some extra filming for gender differences would be helpful for the overall aesthetics of the M/F roles. Seems intuitive this would start to increase the costs of production.
Thanks for your ideas and comments.
It were great if the dialogues / cutscenes were performed and mocapped by the voice actors (and stuntmen where it is more dangerous) for a more natural looking scenes. In terms of realism, nothing beats an actor saying his lines and performing gestures at same time. Considering these games are in sore need of more natural animations and scenes, it might be worth considering building some minimalistic sets and mocapping the actors performing the dialogues. After all, I don't think most people sit at their desks and type / stand in one place / lean on a handrail for the enitre 5-10 minutes of conversation.
Combat scenes of course would require trained stuntsmen or military guys, especially if the actor/actress is not phisically capable of doing it themselves.
Yeah, I know it would be more costly to do all this and it might be harder to convince EA to give the game a bigger budget, it isn't impossible, considering the financial success that DAI was. If BW is the studio they claim to be, namely the studio known for its deep and well-written characters and character interactions, it would be in their best interest to do the thing I mentioned above and improve upon the way their characters interact and perfrom.
I can't think of anything that makes DA:I like Skyrim other than the "open world."People said the same thing about Skyrim, but then Dragon Age: Inquisition was horrible because it was too much like Skyrim.

In regards to ME:A, I just want them to open up the "battlefield." Maybe by going around the meatbags or avoid them altogether by finding an alternate route.
Since I wasn't the one making that argument I can't give more specifics either, but it was just an example of making it like another game doesn't necessary make it an universally better game. Which is what I take from a lot of threads of "What can BioWare learn from..." type posts they want BioWare to make it more like another game for it will be a superior game.
