You mean you should be able to hear what the selected dialogue option will sound like and what exactly will your character say, before fully commiting to choosing that particular response?

Sounds like a bug? Inquisitor definitely has a voice. Unless I am misunderstanding your point in the OP. ![]()

My inquisitor has a voice to but a lot of times you can pick two three four lines to choose from but when i select one of those lines i do not hear my Inquisitors voice. So if you hear her/his voice then i do have a bug.
This is difficult to explain.

Um, are you talking about before you pick a line, or after you select which one you want? You always have a voice when you pick a line. Having one before you pick one would make no sense.
It would ruin any emotional scene to have your character shout an angry response as you hover over it, then be super happy as you mouse over to see what the happy response is, then burst into tears as you check the next response, then shout the same angry line a few more times as you hover back and forth, all whilst the NPC you are talking to does nothing, only for you to burst into tears one final time and have them respond to that whilst ignoring all the other things you just blurted out.

For the most part, the main problem I had with DAI's (and Fallout 4's) dialogue system, is that a lot of times the shorter choices presented on the dialogue wheel sound and feel nothing like the line the main char will say after choosing said line. Fallout 4 has a great mod that turns the shortened dialog options into the full, exact sentences that your character will say, and it is a lifesaver - no more stupid, out of place dialogue options, in which you don't even know how what your character will say, but only a vague indication of what manner s/he will say it.
I think this could work instead of the character saying and presenting the available lines before selection - you'll know what the char will say, without ruining much immersion. Yeah, the dialogue wheel most likely needed to be replaced as the answers would be too long for the wheel, but there was nothing wrong with the answers appearing in a list, like in KotOR, DAO, or Fallout 3 / New Vegas

After after i pick a line i do not hear my Inquisitors voice and that is just weird and unrealistic.

And you never thought there might be something wrong with your game? ![]()
All lines for the PC are voiced. The last game where this wasn't the case was Dragon Age Origins, 8 years ago.

If you are not hearing the Inquisitor speak after you pick a dialogue option it is a bug. I've run into it myself at least twice.

a few times I have had the same experience....For example, when first speaking to Josie and asking her about her family. There are two options on the upper left side of the wheel that are silent.....then I click it again, and finally my character speaks. But this is the only situation that it has occurred for me in, and I've gotten used to it so I don't really notice anymore.

But how did you even follow the conversations if you had no idea what one half was saying? I wouldn't think it would make any sense...

What platform do you play on? Did you install a physical copy or downloaded it from Origin/Xbox Live/PSN? Do you have any mods installed?

It was actually to do with my speaker set up, not a bug really. For some reason it was set up as surround sound when I don't have surround sound speakers. Had to change it to Stereo as the Inquisitor's voice was being directed out of a speaker I didn't have.

Well the option gave at least a few words what s/he was going to say so the answers were mostly satisfying.

Are you sure you're not joking again? The protagonist having multiple possible actual voices was one of the big things about the game!
Hey you know me i never ever joke i'm always serious and what do you mean by joking again.
edit. And how would i come up with something like this OP to joke about ?
