BSN Rule #436: When in doubt, assume Bunz.
What? Wasn't that rule # 348?
Which is that then? ![]()

did someone say bunz?Yes, I am "Bunz" if that helps you sate your thirst and will stop your assumptions...fine, I am "Bunz" whatever the hell that means.
I like big bunz and I can not lie
You other brothers can't deny
That when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist
And a round thing in your face
You get sprung, wanna pull out your tough
'Cause you notice that bunz was stuffed
Deep in the jeans she's wearing
I'm hooked and I can't stop staring
Oh baby, I wanna get with you..

BSN Rule #348 is "Never fight a penguin on a rollercoaster" ![]()
On topic somewhat, might be cool to have our ship's Mass Effect field fail briefly and cause us suffer some kind of relativistic time dilation as a result of our proximity to a black hole, leading us to miss something major due to the time we were exposed before we were able to restore the field or get safely clear from the effects of the black hole.
And now I think about it, that's the plot of Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda... ![]()

Black holes don't work like that.So basically there is this special mission which appears and starts devouring planets and if you don't do certain missions before the black-hole appears the missions get lost but then reappear after the quest.
This black-hole appears because this mercenary with his own fleet of ships and he is actually controlling the black-hole and it just transports the whatever has been sucked in black hole to different systems and you need to find then liberate them from the mercenary's control because whatever is sucked into the black-hole the mercenary quickly moves in to control the things such as ships and planets and his ships control them and and each time you liberate something captured you are a step closer to finding him.
Later you find out the only way to find him is by getting sucketo the black hole you later fight him and keep the black hole device as a trophy.

Try putting some text before the image or link. Making a post with only an image is considered to be spam and has a much higher chance for being detected and deleted by the mods for spam. A witty word or two solves that problem and both you and the mods are happy. BSN science.

TARS...! Take control of this post if I lose consciousness!
It's not possible. But it's necessary!
Loved the OP by the way. I always imagined that movie as a Mass Effect love letter. Or vice versa in this case.

Thanks, I'll try that. I do know the people who keeps reporting me though, it's the same ones over and over and they can't seem to let go, keep reporting every single little post of mine, no matter the content. It's getting pretty ridiculous.
Anyway OT: This blackhole thing sure does seem interesting....

I...uh...hmm.
Nope. Got nothin'.
Though I guess a device that could instantly transport things across a star cluster would probably come in handy for more than just random piracy. One imagines that a real criminal mastermind would recognize its profit potential from legitimate business, and retire after having purchased their own private solar system without having to do much criminal activity at all, save perhaps the initial acquisition of the device.

While you wouldn't survive a trip in a black hole (unless you're in Insterstellar) a traversable wormhole is at least feasible. And a dev awhile back posted a pic of a suspected wormhole. So, something like that could factor into the plot somehow.
I just realized that in an episode of Farscape, there are a group of aliens called the "Pathfinders" who utilize wormhole tech to explore the universe. Mass Effect writers drew inspiration from Farscape before...probably just a coincidence, but still

But if we are letting ourselves be sucked into the black hole, can't we then control gravity in the past from behind the bookshelf and use that to warn ourselves of the problem before it happens?
