The heck is MEC?

Mass effect: country.

You're an aging musician with an achy breaky heart out to find his long lost daughter, missing on Omega. (Still a better game than the witcher.)

It's your making a critical comment over SW 'ownership' that is silly. But at least you are learning, and that's always a good thing.

1. tldr, but nice effort

3. I'm already fully aware of consumer ideas of software ownership vs companies' ideas of software ownership

4. I'm a silly guy

5. I've learned nothing and you can't make me

7. I'm just bored and wasn't entirely serious in my post, as the tone should've conveyed, but I forgot that the sp forum is incapable of detecting humor

Still requires downloading patches, today's physical copies are nothing but collectibles.

No offline activation.

Anywhere outside Pony Land internet costs money, not everyone have fast/stable internet connection 24/7.

Besides the obvious not consumer friendly DRM and modding, the issue is that developers promise offline SP but fail to mention that half of the SP content requires constant internet connection.

The current state of SP in AAA games is basically you pay 60$-90$ for a demo and need to pay more for constant internet connection to unlock the full "SP experience".

Okay, let me translate the thread for people who don't understand nuance and subtlety.

He's asking Bioware if we should be expecting the same "siphon every dollar from your pocket" business strategy which will more than likely be the case with Andromeda or Mirror's Edge Catalyst.  Also, he is greatly looking forward to Blood and Wine because unlike other DLC, it will be worth the money he pays for.

Yes.  Because people still like having some semblance of control over the stuff they pay for with their hard earned cash.  That is what PC gaming has been dwindled down to.  You buy a hard copy, it requires STEAM activation anyway.  You turn the thing offline, you still have to be connected to the internet to play SP (hello MGS 5).

Back in the 90s, when I bought a PC game, it was, FOR ALL INTENTS AND PURPOSES, my disc.  I could play it offline (mostly because the internet wasn't saturated into everything at that point.)  And I didn't have to worry about updates because the game was finished on release.

But no, let's assume it's the customer's fault in all this for being "behind the times."

What's Pony Land?

And yeah, some of us don't have good broadband connections. How many, though? The last figures I saw made it look like a small percentage.

I don't see the problem with Steam and Origin DRM. I launch the game, the game runs, end of story.

What game has SP content which requires a constant internet connection? I can pull out my wireless stick and play all my games just fine.

What phrase in particular is making you apply salt?

Is it the cursing? Because I tend to just do that.

Ok now I'm genuinely confused. I still don't know where you're getting the saltiness from, I don't know why you're suddenly talking down to me like I'm 9. I also really just don't understand what you're trying to get out of this exchange :')

OP, was I even remotely close in my guesses as to what you were trying to ask about?

At this point, I assume not. But that's okay, I am well stocked for beer, and should be inebriated to give it another crack later on. If I remember to try. And if I still care whenever that happens. I might not. I have a short attention span.

Oh I'm sorry honey I didn't know you were so sensitive, you seem like such a sweet little person too. I hope this isn't a hindrance to our friendship and that we can be best friends on BSN. Wanna hold my hand? <3

Jesus Christ. I bet you don't even go to parties or do things with friends, since technically those are multiplayer experiences in this game we call life.

**** that **** tho. Who designs a game that requires hundreds of thousands of hours of grinding but doesn't give you a save/load option? If you get a bad dice roll and get hit by by a bus its all over. **** you RNG!

Yeah, I've played better.

Seems like the only people who like that game are drug dealers.
