You could use the dodge cancel right? I've always used it on ps3 and you only need to pause for a second (on kits with dodge, so you don't dodge instead of the cancel) to do the cancel and you don't need to take your hands off the left stick. At the very least it seems better than a medigel cancel.

And btw why not a M & K setup?

The dodge thing doesn't work for me because it ruins the flow. Plus, if you're lining up for repeated headshots on a Geth Prime from cover, dodge pretty much ruins that (

No M&K because I'm still set up in the living room, the same way as when I had a console. I experimented with a dozen or so different setups, and K&M is just not practical for more than 2 minutes. I like to be able to move around on the sofa while I'm gaming, and a Keyboard/Mouse setup pretty much has you staying very static.

I just wish 80% of the games weren't on Tuchanka. Too bad my internet is probably to crummy to host.

2.) Even if a game goes well I very rarely stay for more than one game unless there are hot fat turians in the lobby. I'll stay for fat turians. But really, I only play 1-2 games in a sitting anyway.

Oh really? 2 days ago you left a lobby I was in, there were 3 fat turian sentinels, by the Spirits : /. And we got condor reapers, That would be a glorious quickmatch adventure.

@Topic: Wave 11 1st minute = me sits on the other side of the map,  with 3 pugs in LZ, 2nd minute = me gets bored, joins pugs, usually the game ends up with partial extraction or lone survivor. Yee.

Most of the times it's hard for me to stick with one team for a couple games on gold, because ppl leave after seeing how fast enemies die. I actually have to use troll kits with troll wpns to give them any chance. Not trying to brag or anything. Plat pug? Keelah, pls no.

Big ups for using a controller for me3mp. I would go insane after 1 game probably. Any chance you'll go mouse/keyboard someday? #PCmustardrace

You all remember me (shut up, let me have my delusion). Used to play PS3 a lot. But I moved to PC a while back.

I did play on PC but I soloed most the time. I'm still using the PS3 controller, and it's a bit weird. Had to re-learn some skills, and I never felt as effective. So I only started actually Multiplayering recently. U/U/G pretty much all the time.

So, I have some questions for you PC players.

Is it like considered uncool to stay away from the LZ on extraction wave? I hardly ever see anyone take this common sense procedure. Everyone - newbies and people with extremely high N7 and CP points, all rush to the LZ and get massacred. Seriously, they're all down within 30 seconds and then I have to sole-survivor my way out of there.

I actually don't see that very often on gold.  The only time I ever do that is when I'm with a team who all know better, and we decide to hold the LZ just for fun.

I take it back.  I take it all back.  Just had all three teammates try to hold the Hydra LZ vs Cerberus...

Keyboard+mouse is great when you're at a desk, not so much when you're on a sofa and you like to move around. Especially when you have wrist problems anyway. I tried for a long time to find a way to do K+M in my context. Tried many different devices/combinations. Closest I got was a Logitech G13 keyboard (so, small keyboard with less keys) and a RAZER Naga mouse (so mouse with more buttons) but you still have to keep your wrist static.

I have a theory that I can build fully articulating arms into my coffee table that can hold the input devices, and could independently follow my arms/wrists as I move. Probably have to be strapped in, too. I'm OK at building things, but that seems extreme even for me...

I don't see the problem. Three approaches, three team-mates. Everybody takes a side and defends it. What could possibly go wrong?

Still using a PS3 controller! I tried an xbox controller (bleh) and Steam controller (I soooo wanted that thing to work) but... PS3 controller it is. Bit of a ****** getting that to work wirelessly and tell the computer it's an xbox ctonroller, but hey, it works.

There are a few ways to reload-cancel that work both on PC and the PS3. Dodging or going into cover, for example. But the way I used to do it, the way I got down to where it's pretty much muscle memory, is using a power, even during cooldown. So on a PS3, if you're playing your FQI with your Javelin, you shoot, and tac-cloak. Even if it doesn't tac-cloak you, it reload cancels.

On PC, that doesn't work.

What does work on PC is hitting medigel (this doesn't work on PS3). But to hit medigel, I have to take my finger off the movement stick. So no reload cancel while moving, and it's just not part of my "flow". So I'm much less effective with the FQI, which was pretty much one of my favourite characters to play.

I assume you are complaining about the trigger bumper being reversed in my mod from ps3, you can use an input remapper to switch them. I can't remember what it was right off hand.

Can you beat nearly 55?

:)

Woah really, would have never guessed. I'm not saying you need a bus pass now or anything aha ;D

I guess not (early 40s). I just started college, though, so believe me I'm pretty much used to being around people who can't even understand my age.

...which explains why they're all doing so poorly in math class.

Seeing many old faces posting again, this is good. Welcome back.

I usually leave lobbies after a match if the latency is not optimal, so if you are hosting and people scram after the match all the time it might be it.
I suspect that many pc gamers are oldschoolers like me(35+), that dont have that much time to screw around in games anymore, there are work and other hobbies that needs to be maintained aswell.
So i usually join a lobby or 2 to show how it is done then im off to do other stuff that needs doing.
I do miss the 10hours fantastic4 pugs that i sometime got caught up in years ago when the game was fresh and new and i was an unemployed gross bum pretending to go to school.

Nope, not that. It's totally a PC thing - you can't reload-cancel using powers even when you're using a keyboard+mouse. Either way, I'm hitting triangle rather than the bumpers (:

On console you can hit a Power button to reload cancel the animation, even if the Power is on cooldown.  This also works with Grenade buttons if you don't have any grenades, etc.  This doesn't work on PC.

Pretty much the definition of the internet, going strong since 1994.

Feel free to add me. Not on too much lately, but I'm usually good for three or four games. Krogan preferred. And drell - bringing an assassin is a shrewd decision, I hear.

We need a Krogan - Drell offspring in ME:A.

Wait... I use the ME3Tweaks controller mod on PC (with an xbox one controller) and I can reload cancel just fine by using a power, cooldown or not. Same is true for reload hiding. I play roughly the same setup as SterlingPhoenix - on the couch, but the only major difference I've noticed on PC vs Console is the ubiquitous use of the Reegar.

If you can use the Power, of course it will cancel the reload animation to fire the Power, on any platform.  If the Power is on cooldown, this still cancels on PC with the controller mod?  Mgamerz would have to comment on this, I know he used Xbox framework or something for the mod, but this is interesting if it inhereted the cooldown Power reload cancel onto PC.

I'm fairly certain it works. I utilize the High Lord and it wouldn't be very effective if I couldn't power reload cancel during a cooldown.

Xbox controls are literally just rebinded keys. The same as if you splitnthe omnibar. There is no space magic here for those controls, the mod is mainly the interfaces.
