Only Rachni queens are intelligent and they're obviously too big to be a squadmate.

Then what explains the Rachni who show up to work on the crucible? Even if it's only the Queen running them from afar, she can still be a valuable resource and means of tentative contact with the home galaxy.

 

Sort of like EDI running the EVA body. So long as the drone stays within her range, and we don't know what it is, it's a possibility.

Loyalty Mission- random point during a mission Alexis' L7x implant begins to malfunction, she then finds out that her body is rejecting the implant. Once back on the ship she finds out that the only person that is able to fix the implant is held captive by asari commandos. You have to track them down and we you arrive to their hideout the mission changes to where you have to follow one of the members from a distance until you find out were the scientist is held captive you must rescue him and protect him while fighting your way off of the planet. Once the scientist is safe he will be able to fix Alexis' implant and unlock her loyalty power.

Loyalty Mission - An Alliance military officer contacts Travis and tells him that his former Commanding Officer has defected to the enemy. Once you arrive to where his C.O. is hiding Travis wants to kill him as soon as possible, however you can talk him into bring his C.O. in alive. If the player chooses to let Travis kill his former C.O. he becomes even more distant, and if the player talks Travis into bringing him in a live Travis become more social with the player, and the crew.

Loyalty Mission - Over time William receives an email from a person he believes died in the rescue mission gone wrong. When he meets up with his former brother in arms he finds out that he was the one who gave out their position causing the deaths of his squad and the politician they were to rescue. Once finding this out William in an act of rage storms off after his former squad mate, Once the player find where William is he has his former squad member as a hostage and the player must talk him down or he will kill him. Once you reason with William he asks to rejoin your team and is now loyalty.

Earth born orphan, parents were killed during the Reaper invasion on Earth. Survived by creating a gang called the Green Abyss hacking into banks and giving to others in need. Modeled after and voiced by Tara Strong

Loyalty Mission - Midway through the game Taylor receives word that her former partner has been killed. Once she returns to the colony that her partner was from she finds out that it was all a step up by her former partner to have her killed so he can take full control over their gang the Green Abyss. The only way off of the colony is to kill her former partner, Once it is over you tell her that if she were to die, her partner would have turned their gang into Guns for Hire.

Loyalty Mission - Jettagtog gets a emergency email from his clan that a rival scientist has created a genophage of her own and is ready to unleash it on the Salarians, and the Turians. Wanting to avoid another galactic war Jettagtog asks the player to come with him to Tuchanka and rally all the other clans in stopping the revenge for the genophage.

Loyalty Mission - After years of exile Jef'Wamin vas Lesost is called to stand trial for a murder of an admiral he did not kill. Once he and the player go to the Migrant Fleet he is judged by the admiral who takes the place of the admiral who is deceased. While searching for clues to clear his name, he find evidence that the new admiral killed the former to advance his career. Once the evidence is brought up to the rest of the admirals Jef is cleared of all charges and the admiral is arrested.

I won't be against some characters and teammates whose personalities are modified during the games. Liara is a great example on how far you can be modified by people: the death of her mother, the search and destroy of the  shadow brocker and her terrifying will during ME3...

Batarian Soldier (Female) - Because we've yet to see a Batarian female and it'd be nice to see one who's not a slaver or generic bad guy.

 

Salarian Infiltrator (Male) - Because stealth and Salarians go together like fish and chips, plus it'd be cool to see a former assassin for the STG.

 

Krogan Engineer (Male) - Because I really enjoy seeing Krogan characters who use their intelligence, rather than brute strength to solve problems.

 

Drell Vanguard (Female) - Because Drell are awesome and need more love. Although what if this Drell is part of a minority who dislike the Compact, feeling as if the Hanar exploit the Drell's debt to them for saving them from near-extinction and believe it's akin to willing slavery? Or otherwise has a grudge against the Council for not helping the Drell when their homeworld was dying?

 

Turian Sentinel (Male or Female) - Because we know the Turians seem to shun their biotics, even in the military. Might be interesting to explore that more, as it was lightly touched upon when it came to Nyreen in the Omega DLC.
