I think it will be useful to have a squadmate that can learn to interpret new languages very quickly. They would be combat-capable, and can advise the Protag with useful information, first contact suggestions, perhaps has negotiation skills too. Although, it would make more sense to find an outcast Andromedan who can do these things and joins the crew (more likely, I think). This trope has been used very often.

Which is an odd argument, because we've seen and been able to romance a lot stranger looking aliens in the series, so what makes Batarians so disgusting? Especially when we have yet to see any examples of female Batarians in the games with which we can judge their levels of attractiveness?

(Also I forgot to mention the blue space babes with tentacle hair, as another strange and wonderful alien we were able to romance)

I'm sure you have. I tend to preach it a lot. But anyway those ignorant idiots whom owned slaves failed to acknowledge those slaves are humans as they were. They were the same inside and out. This is different; aliens are not humans and are not the same as humans. There's a reason why we can't procreate with them, and the one we can procreate with; our DNA is not taken into account, rather they take desirable traits to help randomize the offspring genes. The DNA always come from the asari. Genetically and physically that offspring is not yours. It doesn't look like you or have your DNA.
