And no way, I'd never get a console to play. Whenever I try to use one at friends' places, I end up not being able to hit the broadside of a barn. Litterally

 
Bah, get one for a week and play everyday and lemme know then how it's going. Just takes some getting used to. Or at least that what I was told when I was complaining about PC gaming.

Just a notice to tbe people I'll be on PS3 with: I will be awful. I have about two credits to my name, maybe one of each consumable and level 2 gear. God knows what level my guns are but it ain't good either.

 

Penguin you'll be playing with ME, the master of dying....  I don't think you'll be any badder than me lol. I'm level 20 and have okay gear and I STILL suck  Luckily people are very helpful and mature and they're not annoyed  (at least not openly...) so you'll be fine I'm sure

The message I got was that Max Dmian and Ronni BlastOff are major suckers if this was true random play. I'd then suggest all noobs send Friend Requests to them. Even veterans should join their lobby and hang around lazily until extraction to break their spirit.

 

Tell you why : It is an interesting video touching on most things we discussed here in the forum. In the broader scheme of things this shows a quarter of players we see out there, day in day out.

 

I'm not sure whether you are trolling us, tho   : "Earn my Credits"

 

1) You have not loaded any equipment and die a great number of times ingame on Gold. The outcome shows that your teammembers had to compensate for the most that was not delivered from your side. Still they did it fairly easy (21min extraction time)  and capably.

 

2) Your character and weapons, aiming & hitting, indicate that you'll probably only going to be able to leech, on a level  that you are not accustomed to contribute much anyway.

 

of course we've seen examples where the opposite happens - someone with new manifest walks in and clean the house - They are extremely seldom. And we've helped many a player to get them going with credits so that is no sin anyway.

 

Unless you have a specific personal deal with Max Dmian, this team member will undoubedly be kicked by me for the next round. Nothing personal of course.

 

Simply using that playstyle as guidance I would think (but not say out loud) :

 

1) get a personal trainer to get some cheap credits but be willing to start at bronze to get a feel of the basics or be prepared to read and practice a lot by yourself.

2) understand that this video epitomizes "free rider" and there is a huge number of free-riders still in MP.

3) The fact that you are not even willing to spend L1 equipment on a gold game often shows that you are not respecting fellow players at all and simply use them as stepping stone to credits (maximum output with minimum investment). A symbolic donation (loading some equipment) will go a far way towards mutual respect and willingness to co-invest. Finding/Negotiating ways to actively support a team in the absence of having low level weapons is another way (example load a character that can prime targets and let fellow players detonate them or vice versa, loading armored compartments or setting up pylons to refresh shields etc.
 

 

Would you understand the way I'm thinking and would you also think the same if you were me? Have I missed some angle in my thinking?

Lol, ok I read though your post with haste (so forgive me if i missed something), since it felt you indeed missed something. I moved to Xbox after 1000+ hours on ps3, plat solos and all that stuff. Max Dmian is a good friend of mine, who actually talked me into joining the Xbox community. And that was the very first game i played after loading up the game in my brand new Xbox. Those were all people we knew. I only posted it to show how absolutely clumsy I was (didn't know the triggers switched, analogs felt weird and all that) in my first game. Should there be chat audio, it'd be hysterical laughter all through.

Yep - I thought that much - and stated that as an alternative throughout. 

I had much more problems to move from PC mouse to controller - it was pure hell and took me ca 3 months (at least) to adapt to those silly short analog sticks/ still not really there after all this time.

 

btw  - how did you make that video cap- PC or inline box

It's a capture card, Hauppauge. Worked on both consoles which was neat. And having just sold mine, quite cheap these days.

Not really - there are many other people here that are really new on MP : highly motivated to bring their share, following the discussions and probably fed-up with bronze or stuck at silver but are hesitant to join gold for the fear of being classified a leecher.

 

I gave my angle on what I would find to be acceptable behaviour for somebody that do not have excellent weapons - but could still contribute greatly in a gold game, as well as indicating absolute no-no's. If I read something like this above 1,5 years ago it would've made my transition from silver to gold much quicker. Nobody ever stated it that clearly in BSN - it was just "bad game with Pugs" here, "dumb pugs" there. I think most people feel good when they can contribute to something and feel as if they made a difference.
