I was pretty sure when I used the dragon maul, I could whirlwind until my stamina ran out.   Now with the hakkon's valor, I cannot whirlwind for more than 1/4 of my stamina before it stopped and have to wait for cooldown.   It pretty much made whirlwind useless.   It seems to be around when the weapon proc happened.. but not all the time.   I am not sure what else could cause it.  Maybe because I am not wearing the whirlwind ring?  hmmm.....

I've had it happen sometimes with my Maul of the Dragon, so it might be something else.

 

I have noticed that a lot of times, I press down and hold the button I have Charging Bull mapped to (both in MP and SP) and half the time I come out of the charge immediately after starting it, moving nowhere and having to wait for it to cooldown.  I'm pressing the button firmly every time, so idk what the issue is.  Only tried it was 2-hander warriors and the SS, so idk if trying it with a S&S warrior changes anything.  Would like to know if anyone else has had this issue.

Well, with charging bull (both, on Katari and Silent Brother) it´s in most cases the horny girl which bugs (stops) it. Staying away from her a certain distance (a few meters) seems to help.

 

But I had the issue of stopping with Blizzard, too (ok no longer use it ) there were no reason for it.

 

And since support has ended no one will do anything about it so you have to find work arounds yourself, or read the forum, or just avoid certain abilities.

I will test it out tonight.   I am pretty sure it was hakkon's valor causing the problem or maybe any 2-handers that has a proc.   There is not much else to take for the Katari.  I already got charging bull, pommel strike, and mighty blow.   I guess I could take TTD.. but it is kind of far down the other tree.

 

I am pretty sure I was able to whirlwind saarebus to death with my dragon maul and read a book at the same time...    It bugs me that I can't do that now.

Well, you can use Earthshaking Strike, it does decent damage, too.

 

And there is always the Trolling Chain you could take

Use Dancers if you desperately want whirlwind and doesn't care about halving your dmg. Otherwise just go with Earthshaking strike or simply keep Block and Slash. Or grab war horn even though it's quite far down on the right tree (i think... never grabbed it myself on Katari)

Okay something is off.  I saw yesterday a Katari with Hakkon whirlwind non-stop.   And I can see that he does not have PI.  So now I am thinking it is the PI amulet messing up whirlwind?

A rarely used Whirlwind so hard to say but it´s a known "feature" that one or both of the Saarebas´ passives to avoid interruption while casting (similar mechanic ?) seem not to work with PI amulet (If you have the passive(s) and PI amulet it´s like you have none and you get knocked down as usual. Since there is no other Amulet that makes much sense on the horny girl (assuming your stats are pretty good ) just take the PI Amulet and save two ability points

I just want to report back... should have done it earlier... whirlwind is fine, I am stupid.    You see.. when I was playing Katari long time ago using dragon maul.. I didn't know how to do attack cancel.   Now it is automatic without me thinking about it.... so....
