While my pile of dead camels internet connection slowly downloads the Origin update (should be in 35 minutes at this speed for a 92mb update - I know, hence pile of dead camels) and I wait for its eventual failure and my prompt return to the Origin support website... Ah there we go, it's just failed.

While I wait for the Origin support website to load, I thought I'd just make a new thread.
 
So it occurred to me yesterday that different classes/combinations reminded me of different songs.
 
 
For example, the AIU reminds me of the chorus from this song (just ignore the stuff about alcohol, robots can't get drunk):

Before you go all "Wat?" on me, anyone who's played the Krosent knows it's one of the most relaxing kits to play. Getting shot? Standing on a grenade? marauder elbow? Seeker swarm in your face?... Absolutely no fucks given, just waltz around with your claymore, rolling a nade here, a headbutt there and maybe a backhand once in a while while you sit back on your couch and sip that beer (or cognac if you are too MLG).

This is my favourite post in the four years I've been around this forum. That was majestic. I've just spent nine minutes with my eyes closed punctuating that beautiful music with images of Husks being flung off maps, Marauders set aflame, Cannibals exploding into the air and much more. I even took out some swarmers with Tech Armor! The only thing left to say at the end was, "Ha! They're dead!" It's great to know that somebody else out there truly gets it. 

 

Now then, you've got us to wave 7 or 8. Time to show that the Krentinel is about more than some Hannibal Lecter sh!t, let's crank this mofo up! *Headbutt*

^^^^^^^Teabaggin Krogan, marvellous link and timing. I considered posting a link to Requiem/Confutatis around the same time, also thinking of a Krogan. (Confutatis ---bang-- maledictis ---bang --- flammis acribus addictis --- boom boom and flames)

 

I'll be one of those not going 'Wat', as I've actually played this one myself on a violin some years ago. The difference being though, when I was playing it, I somehow never imagined husks flying or Marauders exploding...  I believe that is only because I had not been introduced to this game yet.  I'll certainly look at this musical piece differently now.

Haha yeah, the obvious choice for me besides classical would have to be rock and roll. You know stuff that makes you nod to it automatically. I can almost see a bunch of krogan riding in a tomkah, banging their heads to AC/DC, on their way to kill a thresher maw. 

 

Also some dope ass rap for the Turian soldier coz he's a gangster..

I actually tried your recommendation with a KroSent/Claymore and that really worked !

The thing about this song is that its elegance and refinement makes it feel like you're outrageously mocking the ennemy, great feeling.

Our Krogans should make a "finer's things" club.

 

Yup, I'm the kind that never get affected by celebrities' deaths because well, I don't know them...

Nujabes was probably the only exception and I felt genuinely sorry/mildly sad when I learnt he passed.

That's how much I love his music.

Were I a Quarian in the Mass Effect universe, the first thing I'd do would be to hack the Geth Juggernauts and Geth Primes so that played whenever they took a step forward.

The second thing I'd do would be to declare war on the Geth and kill all the toasters.

Well AC/DC is kind of a classic though, I've been hearing it since I was a kid and I'm still not tired of it. Not really into heavy deathmetal stuff much. I think I like Winds of Plague and maybe a couple other ones because of their insane drums and good tunes but overall I'm not a huge fan. 

 

Nujabes is chill as always, you should check out his other works if you haven't already, there's some great rap there!
