Hi!

I have read previously that the type of Inquisition (Epilogue: "and what if Inquisition itself?") seems to be based on the number of table operations one performs using a particular advisor. I used Josephine most, Leliana and lastly Cullen. So apparently i should be getting:

"Its web of influence is felt in every hall. Through diplomacy and the trading of favors, it has gathered the power to shake kingdoms."

yet i keep getting:

"It has eyes and ears in every hall. No secrets are beyond its reach, and that knowledge has become the source of its power."

Why so!? is there a list of which operations decide the type of Inquisition? or is the fact totally different from "number of operations using a particular advisor"? and how do i go about getting as i desire?

thx

It's based on which type of perk you have the most of, not the war table. So you must have more of Leliana's perks than Josephine's.

It looks like the wiki is incorrect

Hmm then I don't know. If it helps, it doesn't make any difference. If you have Trespasser and are going to play it, it doesn't affect anything in that. And it isn't recorded in the Keep so I highly doubt it will ever be referred to again.

While at it...could someone also lemme know who does one get this "Balanced" Inquisition...i.e: if im not wrong those perk points can't truly be distributed evenly across the 4 advisor yes!? n it would also be rather tedious to keep a track of the number of operations performed under each of the 3 advisors (if wiki were true which it apparently is not)

thx

May be it isn't based on all War Table operations but just certain key ones.  I generally get either the Diplomacy ending or the Military one, even though I think I'm using Leliana the most and I'm pretty sure I use Cullen the least.  However, with some missions you are barred from using one or more of the advisors, so it wouldn't make sense if it was based purely on numbers.  Also when you open up new areas on the map, you usually have a choice of which card to click on; may be it is a simple as that.

Given how complicated the system can get when it comes to which Divine you end up with, there may be no simple answer to this one.   At the end of the day it makes no real difference to the outcome in the future.

I do think it's based on the number of operations completed with a certain advisor. My last 2 playthroughs I was aiming for Josie, and I got her. She's the one I had the least Perks in, but I know for a fact that she's the one I used most often on the War Table because I kept a manual count of every operation I ever completed (which is just as annoying as it sounds).

And I think Balanced is unobtainable. I think I got that from the wiki, though the epilogue page doesn't seem to mention it now.

It's definitely based on number of operations. Varric actually comments on it at Skyhold if you ask him about the advisors; if you haven't used them often he'll say they're antsy and want something to do, and if you use them a lot he'll mention how badass they've become (he told me that Leliana could tell you what the Arishok had for breakfast, that Cullen's army just had to glance east to conquer Ferelden, and I think he said that Josephine was a match for the Dwarven Merchants Guild). However this dialogue becomes unavailable if you get his approval too high.

Morrigan mentions it too if you ask her about the Inquisition at Skyhold. Her comments will reflect the Influence level of the Inquisition and who's done the most operations.

Balanced is definitely unavailable. My last playthrough I gave each advisor precisely the same number of operations, and it still went with the "spies everywhere" epilogue. My theory is that in the event of a tie between advisors it defaults to Leliana.

The gathering coin operation counts towards which advisor is "dominant". I don't think the gather resources ones do, but I could be wrong.

I don't worry about. All three goes into the field to gather information.

Now with that said.

I think its stupid to send three top people into the field  since Leliana is the spymaster and has spies at her disposal. Why not use them?

It seems that, for me at least, secrets gets more "points" than it should. I've been checking in the save game-editor and even if I'm not using Leliana on any wartable missions the secrets-value is increasing. More than the others even.

Most of the time they don't go into the field themselves.

Yeah, they're not going into the field, they're sending their agents into the field. None of the advisors leave Haven/Skyhold except for when we see them with us in cut scenes (Adamant, WEWH, Arbor Wilds).
