You mean like the current?

Before the typical tea response (sorry but it does rhyme) I mean no not books, and no, not burned, but yes past histories, achievements, stories, narratives, are continually being obscured and blurred to fit different agendas just like it's 1 CE all over again...

LOL

Also - not sure what is "typical tea response" (and how on Earth is that supposed to rhyme....), but I'm certainly glad it's not "typical Kefka/Guinevere/Minifilia" response... Mine at least make actual sense.

Oh come on, you really don't think anything in the modern world is bad?

You can't find one thing?

^Careful, I got reported and slapped with a warning point for making a similar comment about 50 pages back.

Funny story whoever that was it wasn't me, I objected to Faceman simply on technical grounds you are trying to read and this huge gif pops up, but I guess it's fine for them whatever.

In fact I don't think I've ever reported any of your posts, or  midnight's except for that one because it was inconsistent with the rules to see what they do, or like anyone else here really.

This thread has become a depressing reminder of how right Solas was when he said "those you fight must become monsters"...

I second this. It's gone way off the deep end.

Yeah we're in such crazy territory here, discussing the lore of the game, drawing analogies, speculating.

As usual, a strawman. There's a difference in finding problems with the modern world and being reasonable about it and what you're doing.

Really? All the crazy stuff being said and you got reported for calling out pettiness and warned. Well shoot. I better be careful then. Heh seems odd they would allow some of the obvious bs to stay and remove something as simple as that.

While all this dancing around the simple acknowledgement that censorship isn't dead in 2016? It's arguably more intense than ever.. in fact.

Honestly y'all are beyond discussing lore and just out right slamming one another. It's really sad to see. :(

Really? Where did I slam another user?

I mentioned some people were just all negative or passive aggressive... because they were... don't think that's slamming a user though.

You personally never do it outright but most of us are smart enough to read between the lines. And it's not just you. Just saying. I'm not singling you out on that.

Well that's your fantasy really.

I have to be honest I don't really know why there is so much criticism directed towards me, I criticize this character, so what? Jeez.

I think maybe it's just a fanboy/fangirl thing.... so much attachment.

And that's what I'm talkin about. You had to edit it to attack. Your post was just fine but you felt the need to toss that good ol name call in there. That's what I mean. Petty. That's why everyone ignored your posts for a long while and just continued conversing with each other.

What name call? Like I just don't understand.

Anyway ignorance goes both ways I don't really ready many people post's here seriously mostly because they just say the same old things though nothing new... or rather I know how certain ideas will go over so there's no point.

If we feed the trolls they only grow stronger, and threads that used to be interesting become dull affairs. The ignore list is pretty handy, I'm almost never annoyed on the BSN anymore.

So, yeah. Anybody think the Blight is included somehow in his plans?

I might just start using it.

And I'm not really sure. I know killing the old gods seems to unnerve him.

The Old Gods seem like nothing but trouble, and snuffing them out in their sleep before the darkspawn can get their blighty claws on them seems like as good a plan as any, provided it can actually be done.
If there was a way they could forge through the deep roads and successfully kill the old gods before the darkspawn had a chance to corrupt them without slitting each others' throats in crazy blood rituals, I'd probably be pretty on board with that plan, Solas be damned. Now, if he actually spelled out a good reason why this would be bad, then I'd be all ears, but "It could be worse" is insufficient.

For all i know they could just be their elven friends the so called forgotten ones that's why the don't want to see them die

I don't care however Flemeth,Solas and Morrigan can watch them die one by one killed by The wardens and they have only to deal with it.

Since he's so dedicated to restoring the natural order, I figure stopping the Blight plays into his plans somehow. It's the natural order gone haywire, if it's part of it at all.

Wouldn't it be wild if removing the Veil is key to containing the Blight, somehow? Talk about a conundrum. I could totally see Patrick Weekes doing that to us.

I don't think he'll use it as a weapon, but yeah I think he has a plan to address the magical cancer. Lowering the Veil will probably wipe out most, if not all, of the Wardens.

I agree, I consider it highly unlikely he'll use it as a weapon. If I recall correctly, he basically says anyone who would use the Blight is an idiot.

Ah, that's right, most, if not all, Wardens will likely be lost. I can't even think of the word to describe how it makes me feel that these people who sacrificed so much to stop the Blight may actually be making it worse in the long run. Solas knows what the Blight is, how it operates, and he would never dare use it. Maybe, strangely, he is Thedas' only hope.

I've suggested this myself before. Wouldn't that just be awful, knowing even if you stop Solas, the world will die out to the Blight anyway eventually if the Veil isn't removed, and the source of the Taint dealt with directly?

I think it's likely it'll line up that and that's why we couldn't stop Solas in Trespasser. But we'll see.
