Hi all

 

I was hoping to host a server, and i've searched endlessly, I have opened my ports through what portforward has said but it seems to not be working. My server shows in the LAN list but not the join internet game list. Any help would be great.

GameSpy doesn't work any more, if that's what you mean by Internet game list. People usually use NWNCX these days, which replaces GameSpy, or by Direct Connecting.

Add these two lines to your hosts file if using Windows.

199.193.152.27  nwmaster.bioware.com    # SkywingL's substitute listing server

198.23.165.35   nwn.master.gamespy.com  # Visavent's gamespy replacement

 

Once you set up nwncx on your player machine, this will set your server up so that it can be listed on and found by those using nwncx.

 

In windows xp/7 you can find the hosts file  at C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc. Use the notepad ecitor to modify the hosts file.
