I know there is a survey topic right next to this one, but can we please specifically talk about this one (third slide in the survey)? Am I the only one who finds this to be downright insulting (if true)?

It describes a premise for the "experience" of playing Mass Effect Andromeda kind of vaguely and as generic as possible, I mean, just look at it. "Draw the gun because the fight is bigger than you thought"? For the love of James Vega, is this for real?

Then it goes on to ask you very specific questions about what you make of this, like "Is there enough space" and "Is the difficulty good enough"?

Do I need to explain it any further? Whoever wrote this needs to be fired or not be assigned to writing a survery from here on out. This helps nobody, not even you Bioware.

I'm confused.

It's from the leaked and possibly true EA Survey for Andromeda -- it's official and it's so poorly put together and zero thought put into what they're trying to do with it, except if it's just some PR/Marketing buzzword user-analysis, to see which generic platitudes hits home best with mindless consumers.

I doubt it was someone who works for Bioware, just someone with EA inside access who wanted to stir the pot.

Gosh, EA is so poorly managed.

Isn't that exactly what it's supposed to be?

I don't see any reason for any of us to care about this except instrumentally, since presumably we all (except for a few idiots) wish ME:A well and so we want the marketing to work. We don't need to be advertised to.

I really hope that's fake.

I mean how is anyone supposed to come to an informed decision based on those four brief, incredibly vague sentences?

The last survey questions is about a potential  future ME game. That's how I interpret it.

If this survey is true, as in real, then the survey is no doubt built to get the answers that whomever wrote the survey wants.

In fact, a good proportion of surveys you encounter in your life will function this way. They need evidence to justify a decision they've already made.

I'm utterly unfamiliar with the origins of this survey, but is it possible that this survey was accompanied by some sort of limited in-house gameplay testing by the survey participants?  Or was this a survey that took place entirely online?

K, this is my survey about the supposed survey.

Do I care about it, from 1 to 10? Not even damn zero. Why? Because I won't let Adromeduck to ever run on my PC.

p.s.

Use your imagination on why I used a little animal instead of an explicit word

Where's the 'this sounds like marketing speak and it doesn't provide anything substantive' option?

As someone who has done a bunch of surveys I can say they ask all kinds of seeming weird and pointless questions. I did a survey where I was asked what president candidates are most like gas station store food.

Gotta wonder what kind of video game would ask that kind of question  ;)

The answer to that question would always be Rick Santorum, even when he isn't running.
