Well if BioWare would release information on ME:A, then we'd have actual topics to talk about around here.

If the DAI forums are any indication, it wouldn't make a difference. :P

I sometimes accidentally refer to this game as "Mass Effect: Armageddon".

Has a ring to it.

I agree, there are always going to be people upset that either information was released too early or that they aren't getting enough of it.  I personally think not talking about the game at all is best for the game because then people aren't generating a bias one way or another yet and can't generate expectations based off of unfinished content.  How many times has there been a game with early footage and the final product isn't what they were showing?  Then add in the people that instantly start calling for boycotts or lawsuits, I think this is going to be a trend from a lot of developers that want to avoid negative publicity.

Wow you guys really need to agree on what token means.

I know, it's almost as if we are individuals who have minds of our own, and think for ourselves. Its like we can form different opinions and conclusions based on the same data, despite both being born with a straight white penis.

Weird.

Yeah there is always going to be stuff like that. I think waiting for information is perfectly fine, especially since I have no intention of buying it until I'm sure it's a game I want to play. Sometime after release in other words.

I'm holding you personally responsible if Ben Affleck is the voice of the male PC.

What if it's Bruce Willis instead?

Nah... I think you need a certain voice type for our hero.

Bruce Willis doesn't have the voice I'd want to hear for the ME:A male protagonist (no offense intended) - not unless he did a really good job of 'throwing' his voice so that I wouldn't think of 'him' every time I listened. This would bug me to no end. As much as I liked Marina Sirtis as Deanna Troi, I didn't care for her voice as Matriarch Benezia as much as I thought I might - I always knew I was listening to Marina, not Benezia. Carrie Ann Moss as Aria T'Loak was very good, and because I never had the impression that I was listening to C.M.A (or Trinity in The Matrix). - just Aria. It's just a subjective thing for how I feel about it. But Bruce? Not for me - too recognizable for my tastes. Ash 'Liz' Sroka did such a nice job with Tali - I have been so impressed with her voice's consistency over the Trilogy. As for suggesting a particular male actor's voice in ME:A, I can't offer one at this point.

Exactly!

The biggest challenge is matching Bio's/writers'  interval vision of the protagonist to a voice.

Now I like Morgan Freeman's' voice.  But, the voice must also match the character.  For example: I will agree that an action hero + Morgan's voice won't do. I also like James Earl Jones's voice. But, he too is not suited for an action hero.

Let's take Sera from DA:I.  Robyn Addison interpretation of her from the script was awesome.  I mean Sera came out in 3D. She was different from a human female. She totally came across as an Elf with an Elf's view of the world. Also, the script helped with the development of that character. But, in the end, the right voice actor (and talent) brings the character to life.

Frankly, I don't envy the Bio director responsible for choosing voice actors.

It's been the same woman for years, I think. She's been brilliant.
