My crazy idea is this...

When Solas says, "I would not have you see what I become."  He really, really means he's going to become something horrific in order to gain control of the Darkspawn...and then, maybe, the Archdemons (the possible Old Gods).

That would be an extremely powerful army to command.

Just contemplating that at the moment.

Unfortunately, the darkspawn spread corruption just by being somewhere, and Solas probably won't use them for the same reason Corypheus didn't: He wants the world to actually be habitable after he's done.

Plus, bad things would probably happen if the taint got into the fade, and Solas wants it to become part of the material world again. Even demons avoid the Black City for this reason, if I recall correctly.

I made a  theory vid about SOlas being connected to a spirit. I was wondering if it is possible that he will twist a part of himself into a demon by killing so many ppl in Thedas. I do hope that secrets of the Old Gods and darkspawn will be explained, but... I hope Solas does not use them. He was against playing with the blight and that it corrupts everything it touches, so it would be really foolish of him to use the blight as his weapon.

If he becomes something like Orsino then I wish you all a glorious battle to come.

I was re-playing the part early on where Solas is explaining that the 'orb' was a foci and that they were the tools of the elven gods.

It got me thinking where are the orbs of the locked away elven gods. Have they been lost to time, are they locked away with their owners, or awaiting discovery?

So.... another Corypheus? But pointy ears?

All I know is Fen'Harel is a disappointment. The City Elf Warden is potentially a cooler trickster. And so is Sera.

He'll become the very kind of leader he criticizes the Inquisitor of being should they support the Templars, the Wardens and Gaspard: a tyrant.

I guess ideals don't matter when it's your turn to lead people, huh? But criticizing others who make decisions that disagree with your ideals is okay, though.

He doesn't need an army to win he need only to remove the veil.

You can find red lyrium and, of course, the Black City in the Fade, I think that bridge has already been crossed. Perhaps the Fade is as corrupted as the material world is, as it is a reflection of the material world.

Maybe, but that assumes that ELVEN MAGIC can't put things back in order when he's done with them. I've actually been thinking something similar to TC, really. I think the whole point of the Darkspawn/Blights is to break the Veil apart in the first place...considering that nothing can survive the Taint, ultimately, and the Veil gets weakened by death. Put enough Taint in a big enough area, and you could potentially start a full on fissure in the Veil that can be used to tear the whole thing down, perhaps.

Well, to be fair, the Taint came from the Fade. I was under the impression that demons and spirits "avoid" the Black City for the same reason Mages do...even though it's always visible, you can't actually get to it.

That's the Grey Spawn only political play, to be seen fighting the Solas threat to change hatred against Grey Spawn for killing the Divine and hiding the Second Sin proto-darkspawn magisters that almost destroyed Thedas. They might start the rumor that Solas is using darkspawn even if it's not true.

Unfortunately there is also the risk that the Grey Spawn derp-wads might be dumb enough to raise another demon army to fight Solas because that is always a good plan.

Maybe the protagonist in DA4 will be a Tevinter Grey Warden and redeem the epic stupid of the southern Grey Spawn in DAI.
