As the shockwave from the Mass Relays hit the Normandy, it interacted violently with the drive core. All across the ship small singularities opened, one right inside the hamster's tiny little house. Within moments the hamster was sucked in and thrown across the dimensions. It finally emerged in Rashemen where it quickly became the loyal pet of a mentally challenged ranger, who named it Boo. It went on adventures with him for years, gathering fame and popularity all over the Sword Coast... although no one ever believed it really came from space. It might have had something to do with the ranger's insistence that Boo was a miniature giant space hamster, a claim no one took seriously because Minsc wasn't quite all there since he received a grievious headwound.
