Hello everyone. First of all thank you for reading. Anyway, I need some help. Every time I try play multiplayer it comes up with an error always. So looking forward to playing online. It says you have lost your connection to the mass effect 3 server. I do have internet connection. Weird.
Wii U Mass Effect help please.

That happens to me on occasion but it's rare. When it does I either have to exit out of Mass Effect completely and start the game up again and on even rarer occasions I have to shut down the Wii U and start it up again. The whole time I have internet connection but for whatever reason ME3 doesn't recognize it.
It doesn't happen all that often but as for your problem of not being able to connect at all ever, gosh I'm not sure what would cause that.

i ll let the wiu players respond
..............
...........
LOL
This was great.
No but really, OP, there's a slim chance that you'll be able to find many people responding to this topic in a constructive manner, because
1, I can barely recall anyone that mentioned that they ever played ME3MP on WiiU
2, the WiiU version of the game was always kinda regarded here as a joke
But I wish you the best of luck for finding a satisfying answer.

It's not on PC, Xbox or PS3. But I think the WiiU version never really had a large player base even during the early days, and now the game is more than 4 years old.

Yes it is, well I can browse the net fine on the wii u. I do have a uk copy though playing on an Australian console. Could that be the problem? I couldn't find the game locally so I ordered it online. Thanks all for your replies so far.

it seems like I am the only person who is having this connection problem. I tried turning my router off and on. Very strange.

If it seems like you're the only person it's likely due to the fact that you are the only person. I think there was rumours of another WiiU player long ago, back on the old forums.

Yeah sorry I couldn't be more help. I forgot to mention that it happens to me sometimes after I play a ME3 game then switch to something like Netflix, then attempt to play another multiplayer ME3 match. Again though, a quick Wii U reboot always fixes it. I am in the USA so I'm not sure if your location has something to do with it.

I still play on Wii U too.
zazally, here's what I'd like you to do.
1. Reset your modem and router. That means shutting off both devices and unplugging them from the outlet for about 60 seconds. Then plug them back and turn them on.
2. If your connection is still flaky, if you have a Windows laptop, install inSSIDer and check your area for WiFi interference. Make sure that the WiFi channel you're using is not conflicting with other people's WiFi channels. There are 13 channels in the 2.4 GHz WiFi band. Focus particularly on the 1 , 6 and 13 channels since those channels don't overlap each other. Study what you are getting and see which channels are the least crowded.
3. If you're unable to figure it out, your last option is to get the LAN adapter.

I'm sure there are other models out there.

Note that this is a LAN adapter which means you need a LAN cable to connect to the internet.
Post back with whatever information you manage to scrounge up. Good luck!

Word of warning. The Wii U's support for USB lan adapters is a bit flaky. So, try and go for the models that are known to work and stick to those.

I got an official wii u one and it is still not working. This is frustrating since Mario kart 8, splatoon and smash bros work fine online but I really want to play this game online. I have not put the ports in yet. Going to try that.

It's 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
Also, see if you can set your Wii U under the router demilitarized zone (DMZ).

tried changing the dns numbers that you wrote and still no success. I think the dmz thing is my last option. You all have been wonderful. Still also holding onto that glimmer of hope that I can play online someday.
