I guess you could also try setting the MTU to 1500 to prevent packet fragmentation, but I doubt it's that.

There's a guy Miiverse who never managed to get online, his WiiU was Australian, could be a coincidence.

I had trouble with getting online with Need for Speed (also uses EA's servers), what fixed it for me was:
Created an origin account using exactly the same email address my NNID is associated with and then it worked. Both ME3 and NFS automatically log in to the origin account using your NNID email address so try that

Should you manage to get online (fingers crossed) you will still find players of all levels as we're still at it.

It is a small community but we're still there.

On the help.ea.com website they mention a program you can install on your PC to test your connection to their servers.

Also don't have a pc yet and got the wii u version for 5 dollars. I love this game playing single player right now. Man the game feels good on console real good and this is coming from a pc master race guy. Adept is great and is fun on a pro controller.

That makes it hard to diagnose things.  Currently, I'm out of ideas.  If my understanding is right, you're saying that when you attempt to login using your Origin account, it won't accept it?  Does the login fail totally?  I had the same issue with Dragon Age: Origins on PC and apparently, it didn't like special keys in the password.  If yours isn't logging in properly, try changing to a simple password that the system surely won't get wrong like (12345).  I mean, this is just temporary!  Change it back to something regardless, but this is worth a look.

hey mate. What happens is that it says to connect online on startup. When it says communicating it hangs on that screen for a bit while trying to connect and then says error lost connection to ea servers

funny thing is that how can I lose connection before connecting.

Do you have another EA game on Wii U? Like NFS Most Wanted? Just wondering if the same happens there.

Does your router have some form of logs for outgoing traffic? If you know the internal IP address of the Wii U you might want to look at the logs when you attempt to sign in. If you have a smartphone, you should be able to install apps that let you ping those urls. I think your isp must be anti Mass Effect 3.

This looks like a NAT routing problem or an ISP doing some hijinks.

If you are in Australia, do you know any other Australian WiiU users who have ME3? I only know of one and he spent ages trying to get online, as far as I know he never did :-(

Just noticed you changed your dogtag. Phew, that's pretty loaded, or should I say unloaded. You should probably ask "Jack Crapper and 69 others like this" to write a small essay when someone asks you what it means.

Straight Right is as responsive as BioWare on Wii U.  I think you can figure out what that means.
