The new version 1.1 is almost finished. I've been delayed by some misterious bugs that I couldn't find but I finally catch them. In this new version, I've managed to improve performance which allow to render more ships so I've been able to add more dreadnoughts to the battle. I've also improved joystick/gamepad control. Escort the freighter is back online so there are three game modes available: dreadnought battle, siege and escort the freighter.

 

 

Complete changelog:

-Improved performance.

-More than one dreadnought at a time (1 in bronze, 2 in silver, 3 in gold and 4 in platinum).

-Now frigates, heroes and cruisers appear at 75%, 50% and 25% remaining health of the first dreadnought, so they will appear earlier during battle in higher difficulties.

-Improved KB+M control. Added relative mouse movement

-Reduced the speed of ships to half so it is easier to control the ships (like the initial versions of the game).

-Escort the freighter redone: you alone will have to escort a freighter, every 30 sec new enemy ships spawn at random location around the freighter. The freighter must reach a target point before it's destroyed.

-New maps.

-Improved shadows (using cascade shadow maps).

-Improved tactical orders, now if you order a ship to attack another, it will keep that target until it is destroyed. Very useful for cruisers and dreadnoughts.

-Fixed some visual glitches in laser shots, like the reaper beams, where the shot looks discontinuous.

-Now dreadnoughts face each other at the start of the game.

-Added scripted camera movement at the start of the game showing both ally and enemy fleets.

-Improved joystick control (up to 6 axis, 6 sliders, 1 POV and 12 buttons).

-Increased FOV from 45º to 60º.

-Destroyed ships will spin uncontrolled.

-Improved explosions.

-Added speed boost feature.

-Improved performance in multicore systems.

-Added an option to alternate between joystick/gamepad and keyboard+mouse.

-Fully adjustable speed (No more 50% speed auto adjust).

-Fixed shader issue of version 1.0.

-No more resource loading freezes during battles.

-Powers cannot be used any longer after being destroyed.

-Added directional damage modifier. Increased rear damage and decreased frontal damage.

-Now dreadnoughts can't damage fighters (dreadnought's turrets still can). It was really annoying to be destroyed as soon as the ship spawn.

-Added Arcturus Station to siege maps.
