What if there were a similar Earth to the one in the old Milky Way? Not saying it's identical but similar to it. It could go into a bit of a multiverse, where the Earth on the other side faces different challenges and evolve differently. The humans may be the dominant race and subjugate other races instead of the Asari being on top due to Reapers' technology or Turian winning over the humans.

No thank you.

Wait, what? So on this other earth in Andromeda, the dominant species is humans?

...

Nope. Get out.

-

Now. As for another planet that resembles earth. Sure. Naturally, this type of planet would be the one we humans would seek to inhabit first. Less time required to adapt to it. Less measures required to survive on it. That is fact. Why would we try to make a planet that, for example, does not have enough air for us to survive without helmets, or where the temperature dramatically changes over night? That makes no sense. It makes more sense to find a planet that has the right natural resources we need to accomplish our basic human functions.

The Ark is going to a different galaxy, not an alternate universe. So they shouldn't be running into any bizarro Earths.

You could visit every star of every galaxy in the known universe and you likely wouldn't find a world exactly like Earth populated by aliens identical to humans. The odds are so astronomical, that for something like that to actually exist it would require a multiverse - a literal untold number of parallel universes.

I have to admit. Evil Spock was a looker.

And I'm not even gay.

Such a place would be called Dirt. Their Hero would be Commander Herder. The Citadel council would be known as the league of ordinary good guys and Aria T'Loak would be your Asari squadmate.

If by another Earth you mean EARTH-LIKE, then yes, it's very reasonable to think so.

Some perspective:  In our galaxy alone, even if one percent of all the stars have planets, and one percent of those have planets orbiting with the "Goldilocks Belt" (not too far away to freeze, and not too close to scorch) of their respective star, and only one percent of THOSE actually had the material composition to support life (abundance of water, breathable atmosphere, variety of climates ranging from temperate to frigid to arid and everything in-between)....

If all of the above is true, that means that there are MILLIONS of Earth-like planets in our galaxy.

The above assumption is that our galaxy is "devoid of life" or "barren", and we find more and more evidence that that is far from the case.

-------------

If by another Earth, you mean something along the lines of "alternate dimension" or another "human" species, then that would incur the:

"WRATH of the WHINERS"

Starring

BLASTO: The Hanar Spectre

Vorcha #36

Your Favorite Store on the Citadel

Guest Starring

Niftu Cal, the BIOTIC GOD

Aside from that, it would have to be handled carefully.  Having a scenario like that be the result of a Remnant artifact would certainly delve into the mysteries of the galaxy.

Or it could be like a dimensional doorway, where rather than see a "different" Earth, make it smaller and instead see a alternate YOU.

It could be a cool way to showcase the protagonist gender you DIDN'T choose or see the choices you DIDN'T make.

I.E. Male Paragon Ryder inadvertently steps over a dimensional doorway, and comes across a female version of himself.

Some witty banter ensues ("Do I really sound like that?"), a quick explanation of who's who and what's what in the "other" where, and then all-around epicness galore as not one but TWO heroes kick the Khet into next week until the dimensional door begins to collapse, wherein you gotta get her back to her own Andromeda.

A bit corny and over-the-top, yes...  but it's one of those things that either needs to be taken VERY seriously, or very much tongue-in-cheek.

Somewhat like Leviathan (very dark, serious, lore-changing) or Citadel (fun, funny, fourth-wall-embracing), to put simply.

Whether the first or the second, I look forward to what's in play when we get there.

Yes, it very well could be.

What if you ran into an alternate version of yourself?  A version who had made different choices?  How would that make you feel?

It could be a creative way to both poke fun at and really look at the Paragon/Renegade choices, among other things.
