We don't need to go to Andromeda. Let's be honest here guys. The milky way galaxy is so full of wonder after the brilliant piece that was Mass Effect 3. I mean, come on, that game was probably the best game of 2012 and 2013, am I right? Solid and highly diverse multiplayer with tons of replayability. Missions of life or death where you got to make important decissions over everything. And the voice acting, can we take a minute to be amazed at how wonderful the animations were for Me3. When mirand talks, I could swear she was really standing there presenting her ass to me in the room. And who could forget the reapers, and our long awaited confrontation with Lesser Reaper # 5 On Rannoch! That **** was hyped since Me1 when sovereign was like "You'll never beat me or my boss, Less Reaper 5!" And then we did it! Set up, Pay off! Pick the choice, have the choice made for you later! Everyone won! And the ending was a great affirmation of Alfred Adlers famous quote, "Every individual acts and suffers in accordance with his peculiar teleology, which has all the inevitability of fate, so long as he does not understand it." Sovereing said we were unable to comprehend them, and he was right! Pay off, Punch Line, Digital style. Everything a ring, repeating and referencing each other. Mass Effect 1, to 3, 3 choices, and the color spectrum. Color, the absence of which makes darkness, bing boom pow, We defeated all of evil with our colored endings!

What I'm saying is, Me3 was the perfect game, and I don't think they should lessen the magic of its ending by making it set in Andromeda. Instead, I think they should make Dragon Age Vs Mass Effect :Conflict in which the Crucibles firing tears a rift into the Fade, and Inquisitor Shepard must face save the fate of 2 univereses! We can jump to each different world! Each one, a different ending! Infinite endings, means 26 of them. No more lies, all Pr is true.

Happy April Fools everyone.

Well I wouldn't say it was "perfect". No game is right? I believe ME2 was arguably the best game in the series with the best dlc.

Well, that's probably true, but except for Xcom, I can't think of any other game worth mentioning released in either of those years.

Me3 was rather poor with a trainwreck ending that also made setting anything future in the Milky Way as problematic in the extreme.
Personally I'm looking forward to the blank slate that is andromeda.

I just don't think we really needed another Mass Effect. And if you want a blank slate, why not just go full throttle on a Blank Slate.

It's not so great that no other game idea could have been better served with that money. Probably 100 million dollars at least. Or getting close. I don't see what was so important that this game had to be made.

Because I like the people, of course. :D

If you must know, I read the DA forums mostly. I get bored and post here sometimes.

At the end of the day i see the business reason why they weren't willing to throw away their own successful IP that had an established presence in favour of a brand new Ip with no market presence.  It's the reason we get some many hollywood sequels and remakes rather than unique products. The new setting with existing races seems the way Bioware has been able to keep their creative control of the IP while meeting those business needs. There's a new  IP out there but its risky development is probably being carried on the shoulders of the successful existing IP's performance.

I know why they did it too.

But I don't know why they did it, and yet... had Casey Hudson make ME3 in the first place. With that, it's complete. And it certainly wasn't his decision to carry the franchise on. If they wanted to keep it alive, they should have never made ME3.

That ship sailed a long ago dear OP...either you take this new one or you remain where you are with the past glories of the Trilogy.

EDIT: It's an April's Fool joke? Ok forget everything I just said

April Fool's day is now over. Hope you enjoyed your own merry prank days. And for those who didn't read that far into the post to see it. Well...maybe reading comprehension isn't an unnecessary skill.

Happy trails, folks.

I saw the heavy grammar errors in the topic's title, I read only few words - not even lines - due to my inner sight telling me to skip epic goofiness at all costs.
