In Herbert's Dune, the fat Baron uses anti-gravity suspensors to lift himself up. But I don't think Mass Effect uses biotics in such a cavalier fashion. For those without biotics, we've seen eezo used in:

1) vehicles

2) ships

3) .. am I missing something?

Remember how, when Garrus is chasing Fade through all these warehouse levels (and similarly when Miranda is protecting her sister), they still use cranes and traditional mechanical lifts to lift cargo.

Eezo is somehow still rare and perhaps dangerous enough that people use it with caution. So I think jet packs seem perfectly fine. And it's not even cheesy or Jetson-y anymore because I remember hearing about serious jetpack ideas out on the market... like not even a joke.

I meant the choreography dip$#it. No offense. Also jetpacks are nice.

Yea, I know. The choreography in that fight was decent at best.

It happened with the DeadPool leak though.

What? That little bit of test footage? Considering that was most definitely a leak from either Reynolds or any of the others pushing for the movie, in order to get said movie greenlit in the first place, is completely different to an accidental leak that doesn't push for anything.

K, so, what way should they have done it then?  Rather than release it to a known leaker?

It wasn't meant to be released to anybody. A fan found it on an artist's website, where it had been posted by mistake.

The video isn't even marketing. It's a developer portfolio that this artist would probably use if they were looking for work after Andromeda was released.

If it was an accident, I really hope the developer is not in much trouble :/

The way the jetpack works totally reminds me of ME1's Mako & that's a good thing. :)

It might look/work differently by now, though.. already looks different in last year's E3 trailer.

I think I will.. if anyone has shown themselves to jeopardize teamwork or even hold a whole fighting force hostage unless they get their way, it's probably Ashley the sexy space racist and her antics on the Citadel and Horizon only prove that.

Fixed it for you.

Could be true, most probably is true but like many have said before me its probably 90% marketing trick to heat up waning interest. After all they don't release often and even when they do its very very meagre pickings.

Yup, definitely a FX artist demoreel.

I wonder if the Krogan is squeezing a Salarian's liver. Spicy snack, it seems  :D

Not everything involved with videogames is a conspiracy, despite your belief otherwise.

Sometimes people just screw up.

The idea that EA would allow a video to be released that showed early (and unfinished) game footage without slapping "this is pre-alpha quality" all over it is ridiculous. They just would not to do something like this intentionally, period.

People who watch the video and complain/moan/scream about all the shoddy unfinished bits will form an impression about the game that will be harder to shift when real marketing materials start coming out in a few months. From a marketing perspective, this is a disaster - fans are forming opinions about an old version of the game that just doesn't represent the level of quality that exists now, and no matter how many times people say "it's from 2014", some will still come away unimpressed.

There's a reason every demo, trailer and gameplay video is polished for weeks beforehand - they want to show the game in its best light, and this video is not its best light. It's not a conspiracy.

I don't agree. To be honest, people find this short video rather promising and good. You got that Mass Effect feel going on, nice facial expressions, rain effects and all that in alpha build from 2014. I think it's pretty neat. :D

I'm new (ish) to BSN and wasn't around when DAI or ME3 came out.  If this is the amount of **** one little video can stir up, I'm gonna need a legit popcorn making machine for the proper previews and bigger leaks.

Is there an official listing out there of everything Bioware has presented officially for Mass Effect Andromeda?

Welcome to BSN! It's a shame you missed the ending backlash and Mirandalorian wars, but don't worry. I sense that copious amounts of salt will be forthcoming throughout the next year.

Good, good. I have grand plans for EA Play (aka. watch this forum go nuts), so popcorn will be needed.

I heard it was war zone. On one hand I'm glad I missed all that. On the other... Damn, I can only imagine those glorious posts/threads.

Very interesting. I'm sure the graphics will look much better in the final game and the animations already look good. Plus it has this distinctive Mass Effect feel which is good. Hoping for some official footage with actual information soon!

:)

I've heard some bad tales of the land of BSN circa 2012.  I hear it was a dark dark time for all....

I'm still wonderfully naive and love the games, but the forum is slowly eroding that.

Mirandalorian?   Umm.....

Ikr, I can't decide if it was a good thing or a bad thing that I missed it.  Maybe it's better to live in ignorance on this one.

I hope so too, though when people point something out that's bad I can't help but notice it next time I play.

I really enjoyed ME3, it frustrates me sure but I still love it.

Despite it's flaws, I still have it installed on my PC, because the gameplay's really fun. The game's not perfect by a long shot, but as long as it brings you fun, don't let others spoil it for you.
