I had fun the first time. It got easy though. Easier than the other ME's at least.

The one thing I've learned is that people in Andromeda haven't learnt anything from previous games, as they're still going around in combat with no helmets. When the guy gets gassed, I really hope there's an "I told you so" option on the dialogue wheel.

True for the SP. The difficulty is adequately challenging in MP.

Welcome to BSN! It's a shame you missed the ending backlash and Mirandalorian wars, but don't worry. I sense that copious amounts of salt will be forthcoming throughout the next year.

I didn't register here for nothing. A shame I missed all of the tear dripping the ending brought, not to mention the waifu wars. But the Andromederp section has given me my fair share of both.

Oh yeah.. I agree. I just didn't play much, after I got the EMS I wanted.

Yeah, well, helmets just messes up their hair.

And skin stops gunfire anyway, right. I'm sure a bit of Reaper Tech ™ will handwave all that away, if they can actually be bothered to even attempt to handwave stuff this time.
I suppose story just gets in the way of fighting off waves of Cerber, I mean Khet.

This vid seems too detailed to be a prank. And we get glimpses of the Pathfinder and their 2 squadmates (a krogan and a blonde fem human). And I'm lovin the jetpack. Gives a better hop than DA:I. Also, anyone note the guy who collapsed from the spores had very thin body armor?

Yes, I was quite surprised by the thin armor, although I wouldn't call it armor. It's more like a skin-tight basic protective enviro suit. There was no weapon's backpack. Very 'muscular' looking - more than I would expect. What impressed me more were the subtle reflective lighting effects on the suit.

My overall impression: I like it.

Ikr, I can't decide if it was a good thing or a bad thing that I missed it.  Maybe it's better to live in ignorance on this one.

I'm sure we'll still for a treat. Andromeda's going to give us our share of eyeroll.

I have faith in humanity, really.

That being said.

I just wait for "but that's not what was in a leak!!!" threads that may appear after game comes out.

Was that a war over her, umm, butt? Sounds bloody and terrible. Did many people died/got banned?

I er....totally don't enable the no-helmet button.

I certainly don't do that at all, not so that I can look at my character's 'took 3 hours in the CC and restarted 7 times' face, or gaze at their 'should I have chosen that one?' hair.

Nope.

Uncle Steelcan sums it up quite well.

Well once upon a time, shortly after a young and up and coming poster on the BSN joined the forum, the ME3 boards raged. However, this poster did not see the ending debates and wars, not yet, instead he was consumed in another less known conflict, but by no means less terrible. The Miranda support thread was in shambles, left in ruins by ME3 the Mirandalorians despaired, but soon this gave way to conflict. It started innocently enough, disagreement over the character and whatnot, but it devolved, twisted, became mutated. Soon the sides rallied to their appointed leaders and the Mirandalorian Civil War was become. For several days threads popped up in rival to each other, posters attacked each other in vicious verbal attacks. One day, the Community manager, Chris Priestly, decided enough was enough. He took his mighty ban hammer and he smote the entire character sub-forum. There were casualties on both sides, bans, absences, but it was over.

Good, good. I have grand plans for EA Play (aka. watch this forum go nuts), so popcorn will be needed.

I heard it was war zone. On one hand I'm glad I missed all that. On the other... Damn, I can only imagine those glorious posts/threads.

Man, the links in this thread are teaching me stuff about the years I spent away from these forums, including at least one instance of my 'Man, that's fucked up!' sense triggering. I didn't think I still had a, 'Man, that's fucked up!' sense!

The Tali sweat? Hilarious. The Mirandalorian Wars? Gloriously appropriate pun. The doll? DUDE NO WHAT

The ME3 leak and Hawke/DA 2 reveal are probably the two worst days I've seen on the BSN. I wasn't around for the Miranda or Tali sweat thing. I consider the whole ME3 ending fiasco a continuation of the leak, and I've never seen a saltier forum than the BSN during those two events.

Now that the gameplay is leaked, hope people don't leak the ending cause it didn't end well last time.

Are we talking about the early leak on Xbox Live or the datamined script from the MP demo?

Because in either case, the ending was pretty much the same as it was on release. The assertion that BioWare changed the ending in any way due to fan outrage is completely false. All they did was to rename the Catalyst (which was called The Guardian), make Javik (the original Catalyst) irrelevant to the ending and rewrite the description of Destroy/Control/Synthesis (which were called Destroy/Control/Merge in the early leak). Other than that, the endings played exactly the same as they did in the early leak.
