Uncle Steelcan sums it up quite well.

Eh, I wasn't there when the 'war' happened (I left the forum a bit after ME3) but I do recall that there were already heated discussions about her character in her fanbase.

Looks a lot like Mass Effect 1. This bodes well, I think.

Jet packs are cool. Conventional ammo system is lame. Potato gas-grenades are weird. Face tattoos are ghetto. Exploding barrels are wasteful.

That is all.

The ME3 leak and Hawke/DA 2 reveal are probably the two worst days I've seen on the BSN. I wasn't around for the Miranda or Tali sweat thing. I consider the whole ME3 ending fiasco a continuation of the leak, and I've never seen a saltier forum than the BSN during those two events.

Those 6 warning points weren't earn easily

Now that the gameplay is leaked, hope people don't leak the ending cause it didn't end well last time.

Gameplay? You're thinking of the jump jets aren't you?. I see early concept video story boards and graphic tests of plume, smoke ideas.

Tali sweat? I wanna know about this.

http://forum.bioware...36-talis-sweat/

This isn't anywhere near the original thread - which I believe got nuked along with the old forums - but if you skim it, you should get most of the details. It's HILARIOUS, 'specially for a former* Talimancer like myself. Also clarifies a couple of her drunken lines from Citadel.

...

*Don't get me wrong, I still think she's the best LI, but the actual label carries certain... Connotations, at this point, as the sweat and, to a much greater extent, the doll - which I will not be linking under any circumstances - so handily demonstrate.

So, no reaction from Bioware yet?

What would they say?

" Yep, that's a leak, and we're currently doing an internal witch hunt. We'll post pics when we find him ".

I doubt that BioWare would confirm or deny if it's a leak or nor. And they'll let us speculate on it just as much as they liked it when we speculated on ME3's endings.

It started off as an analysis of Tali's sweat, trying to figure out what it'd smell and taste like.

Eh, if you like Tali don't be ashamed of it. Who gives a frak about all that other stuff. Plus, who's to say where these things originated. Tali fans had a huge bullseye on them post ME2 mainly because of how insufferable they had become but they were targeted none the less.

Are we talking about the early leak on Xbox Live or the datamined script from the MP demo?

Because in either case, the ending was pretty much the same as it was on release. The assertion that BioWare changed the ending in any way due to fan outrage is completely false. All they did was to rename the Catalyst (which was called The Guardian), make Javik (the original Catalyst) irrelevant to the ending and rewrite the description of Destroy/Control/Synthesis (which were called Destroy/Control/Merge in the early leak). Other than that, the endings played exactly the same as they did in the early leak.

I'm talking about the big leak I guess? When the first two pages of the ME forums were only topics from the leak. You had people doomsaying and others trying to convince themselves and others that his will be alright. Eventually they locked all the threads and made people discuss the leak in private groups. The group discussion regarding the leak was much more laid back tho, and mostly consisted of people laughing at the hilarity of the contents within the script. Then the game released and you had about 20 to 25 active threads calling for peoples jobs, rewrites, desperate theories, and all other kinds of disdain. You couldn't say anything positive about ME3 without getting burst into flames by the BSN. It was insanity.

A videogame leaks website says they found the website of the developer mentioned in the original NeoGAF post, and after using the Internet Archive found a 2013 video of what seems to be a prototype mass relay.

http://nerdleaks.com...t-andromeda-243

Unconfirmed, but it looks like other people have found the same source for the original VFX video. I wonder if it's offline now? I've had no luck.

Well then...

Someone's getting fired if this is real too. Definitely looks pre-alpha stuff. Also looks a bit weird to me though.

My memory of the ME3 ending is hazy at best, but could it be a prototype catalyst? Isn't that basically what the Citadel looks like when you plug the Crucible into it. Maybe the scientists made a prototype before Shepard discovered the Citadel was the Catalyst. Wasn't the Citadel just a big mass relay anyways? Instead of using that technology for the final fight they use it for the ARK or whatever. I dunno.
