Something about this felt Mass Effect 1ish, I dunno what. Maybe it's the Krogan or the fact that the human dude looked rather thin. Later Mass Effect games bulked up the armor while Mass Effect 1 had a sorta sleek feel.

I'd kinda wish it retains that feeling but I doubt that's happening.

I think they've mentioned before (or maybe it was one of the leaks) that armour is going to be modular, so basically everyone starts with the thin underlay thing and you can layer armour pieces on top of that. If I remember correctly, the undersuit thing can also be used as casual wear on your ship.

I definitely loved the sleek spacesuit-y style armour of ME1 (I still prefer that aesthetic over the 'iconic' N7 gear in ME2/ME3) so I hope something like that comes back. I'd love to be able to wear light/medium/heavy armour again and switch up items between party members.

I liked the amount of customization we had with the party members in ME1. I admit I was a little disappointed when ME2 and ME3 kind of lowered it.

I think it looks stupid, kind of like the armor in Crysis. Too thin for ME.

Yep. And here's the amazing thing - the MW is so huge that even travelling that fast, it would still take roughly 20 years to cross the diameter of the entire galaxy in a straight line.

If Andromeda does take place in one cluster, no relays are necessary. But I think it will actually take place in several, and we will discover an alien relay network. The concept art of that alien "relay" looking thing will probably be the link between clusters.

Already looks way better than the Inquisitor's gray pyjamas.

Doesn't that sleek gear go away in the late game? Even if you don't play long enough to have everybody in Colossus X, those wet-suit looks don't last too long.

I thought they were beige. Wouldn't know; my Quizzys typically wear the leathers.

Regarding game play, I wish that Bypass and Hacking, or similar mini-games, will be dropped. I find they interfere too much.

Edit: My thanks to DextroDNA for responding (in the next post) to my concern with this. I have not played ME-3 yet (I'm making progress!), so I wasn't aware that Hacking and Bypass were dropped in ME-3. Hopefully, for my sanity, they will not reappear.  :)

Did you play ME1? The light armour looked far better than anything else in the series. It was sleeker, less space-marine-y, and more realistic for what people would actually wear if they had to do a lot of physical work.

Besides, if the suit's kinetic barriers are doing their job properly, giant armour plates shouldn't even be necessary. They'd only slow the wearer down and affect their range of movement, which only ME1 really took into account (with accuracy penalties for wearing medium/heavy armour).

Yup, I generally preferred Mass Effect 1's sleeker light armour to the somewhat over-designed stuff we tended to get in 2 and 3, too. Another bonus: it actually looks like a logical evolution/refinement of existing non-pressurized space suit concepts:

I mean, Mass Effect's never been hard science fiction - and nor should it try to be - but it was still a nice touch.

The video is a dev showing what he recently created for the game.

I liked them too, however I'd prefer if it was like in ME1. Having the option to unlock crates with some resources in case you don't wanna play the mini-game.

If you look at this video from 2014, at the part where they sort of spin the N7 around, you can see a small green 52 on the top right of their screen, at around 1:00 , which is also seen on the conceptual prototypes of the leaked vid. So it's the same program or whatever.

Nice catch. If I'm not mistaken, that's the framerate?

If I'm not mistaken, it was recorded with "fraps". A program usually used to record what you see on-screen. And yep, those are the framerates

Of all the things that prove this leak's validity, the framerate counter is probably the least damning. Many game engines have framerate counters built into them, and even if they didn't a simple program like FRAPS can overlay one while recording.

I guess it's just another little detail showing that it's real.

But i don't think it's still 100% certain that it is real, because it is still up and EA and Bioware have not said anything about, I don't think,
