You're late.
I am always on time.
You're late.
I am always on time.
Can you proof that? The footage is reportedly from 2014. I wouldn't recommend passing judgment on the game's models and animations based on such an early build.

Looks good to me but then I'm starving for more ME content. I like the hud so far but don't really like how thermal clips seems to be back....
Real or not, at least it's something to talk (or argue...) about. BSN needs it right now. Badly.
It was the texture of the armour, the krogan face was like before but the armour texture caught my eye as the light hit it.
Agreed. Model for krogan might look the same, but textures are better.
Is it possible the Krogan with the pollen plant shouldn't be there?
Maybe they change the model in order to not reveal something of the plot.
Anyway, the PollenKrogan seems very peaceful with the chocking guy so:
1) He's being mind controlled. That will explain his lack of reaction
2) He is one of the good guys, as someone has already pointed. That will explain the rest of squad come closer after the chocking guy chockes.
I'm with you, Krogans!!
I for once would welcome graphics with original trilogy vibe. One of the things that bother me about DA is constantly changing graphics' style. It's gonna look different, I know, but with all this "this looks like ME3" talk I had to say it.
I desperately want that ME look, without it I may as well be playing any other video game. So...taking iconic design elements and finishes but updating them and making them a little more different. And having a few musical strands from the original franchise poking their head up in the new soundtrack.
Dragon Age does indeed suffer from being way too different, and the ugly duckling in the pack is DA2. Lothering is a joke, if not for the bridge I would think I was playing a JRPG or something (yeah I've never played a JRPG but that's the vibe I get from it). If they'd gone for a different style for DA2 then it could have been the bridge between DAO and DAI. Instead they're all so vastly different and it suffers because of it.
For example, seeing the previews of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided I worry that it's lost it's visual identity, and could honestly be any other grey/black dingy coloured game. I'm crossing my fingers that it will still have the same vibe but I'm not holding out much hope. It's one of my favourite franchises and it really bums me out tbh.
Glad I saw this today before it will possibly be erased from the net !
To be finally able to see a new vid (even if it's an old one) after months without nothing just made my day ~
Thanks guys for posting it here ![]()
(edit: oh, blond girl and krogan squadmates are confirmed, it seems)
To erase the video now is totally impossible because people would have downloaded it by now.

I don't know. For the engine, DA2 is decent. It's the same engine as DAO, just updated a bit. And the default Hawkes and companions are cool.
I like some of DAI's look, but man... something about some of the headshapes is atrocious. Like they're too big for the body. Look at the Seeker guy for an example. Or many NPCs. And these are male humans. I haven't even mentioned elves yet.
That human model animation'd better be very-very-very pre-alpha. Because it's...disturbing (to say the least).

Agreed I really hope we get the Trilogy vibe.
DA on the other hand was always discontinuous in terms of design and graphic, the elves are the perfect example of that. However I do think that with the introduction of EA made Frostbite engine those times are now over. Expect now all BW games to have similar feeling and aesthetics, I'm confident the next DA will feel very similar to DA:I the tricky part is ME:A....since it will be the first ME game on Frostbite the developer should work harder to keep the same vibe from the original trilogy.

The downside is Frostbite is soleplay EA from the ground up and they made less room for modders. You could do a lot more with their older engine. They used to be pretty big on promoting their toolkits.
Not that that has anything to do with ME. That was Unreal.
Shinobi on Neogaf has stated that this is from a late 2014 build. He's a pretty reliable source.
I thought it looked like the sides of her hair were shaved. It hit all my DA:I triggers and made me go to my safe space...
Hopefully that's just a shadow.
What would a BioWare game be without bad hair?
I think DAO/DA2 had decent options.. given the engine. Certainly better than ME and DAI.

It would be nice if it had ME look, but I try not too expect too much in that matter. Saves me a headache.
I'll bet everythig in this video will have been improved upon before release...except the hair
Hey! That bald... I mean that hairstyle we see on tattooed guy looks good ![]()
I should go.

My favourite hairstyle in those games comes from ME, but yeah. DAO and DA2 have the best ones. Especially DA2's moving ones. They're nowhere near perfect, but I was sad not to see them back in DAI.
I hope that monstrous UI is an April fool's prank. You'd need a Cinema screen for that to look normal on. Also, and I know this is an Alpha, but it looks like dog ****. Certainly doesn't look four + years more advanced than ME3 did.
It's very suspicious for me that in just three days we have a survey's leak and a footage leak. Maybe... information is coming sooner than we thought? ![]()
Agreed about the UI. It's way too big. UI's in general often are. I hope they refine it and make it take up minimal screen space.
Options to hide part of it and/or all of it would also be nice. I really don't understand why more companies don't do that.
well since EA remove the links on some of the videos it means 100% it's not a april fools and even if it is a old build
im happy it feels very mass effect i would say a mix of mass effect 1 and 3.
and for a old build not bad at all ![]()
I've removed my comment.
