I played a few months last year, then started up again about a week ago. I've only ever been synced by Brutes (twice) and Phantoms (also twice). I'm pretty good at keeping my distance via frequent backward somersaults. :B

 

The only reason I even knew early on that Banshees could grab you was because I saw it happen right in front of me. I was deathly afraid of them for a while. Then I played as a Jugg, and it's hard to be scared of anything you've taken a leisurely stroll past.

Yeah, not even all that fun when it's happening to other people. Just kind of exasperating (when it's a Novaguard) and/or terrifying (when it's practically anyone else).

It'll happen eventually if you play enough, getting a banshee hug is like a rite of passage. And don't worry, you'll get used to it and learn to keep the right distance. She's not all that scary once you get past the terrible makeup, shrill screaming and psychotic attitude.

Oh, I don't find them scary. I just prefer to avoid getting synced because it's embarrassing, haha.

I think you're well aware that was in reference to your claim to never have been sync killed by a Banshee, that was a joke. I see no reason for that kind of answer.

Oh well, keep enjoying not getting sync killed by Banshees in your SP insanity runs.

Well, if for some reason you enjoy and understand Mass Effect 3's barely coherent story, it's probably quite nice to go for a gentle stroll through some linear corridors while shooting things.
