I don't know where everyone stands on this.

I'm not expecting a Master Piece. I never really went into any of the Mass Effect games expecting that.

Whenever I go into a BioWare game I go in expecting the following:

An interesting world

Interesting characters

Some fun combat

A some light RPG elements (the more the merrier)

Mass Effect and Dragon Age have built two engaging worlds for me to connect to.

Andromeda is a new opportunity to go somewhere new. I'm up for more adventure.

To be honest I am not expecting anything ground breaking. Just more of the same.

Though I will say, there is no need to keep stripping away features from previous games.

You know like how in Inquisition they removed Entropy and Creation schools of magic from the Mage's arsenal.

I actually haven't been disappointed with BioWare so far.and I'm looking forward to what they do next.

Martini: "What's this?" (asks showing a cigarette)

McMurphy: "It's a dime Martini"

M: "I bet a nickel" (breaks the cigarette in a half an bets it)

MM: "Dime is the limit, Martini"

M: "I bet a dime" (bets two parts of the half broken cigarette)

MM: "This isn't a dime, Martini. This... (showing an intact cigarette) is a dime. If you break it in a half, you don't get two nickels, you get s**t"

Do the comparisons as you please to figure my expectations.

The hint is: cigarette = game; Martini = seller; McMurphy = customer. Customer = me.

I'm expecting an overhyped mess. This is a constant with most AAA games. I imagine it will have pretty good game play, but nothing else. Environments will be huge and dull and the new characters will be even blander than me3 new characters as EAware tries to fill their diversity quota to try and satisfy everyone.

So yeah not expecting much, and will not be a first adapter of the game; will definitely buy it used as I did with EAware's past two games. But truthfully I am still in love with ME, no matter how bad EAware will mess it up I'll still be back for every game with in the franchise. Just don't expect me to pre-order or buy new.

I'm expecting a game that's disappointing, but not bad. Like Inquisition.

Roaming gangs of sexually deviant Klixen, waging a turf war against a street savvy group of Hispanic speaking Pyjacks. Eventually a young Klixen finds herself trapped behind enemy lines with only her wits and a sexually ambiguous Pyjack to guide her home.

They are explorers, you are that Pyjack now.

I don't know what to expect. BioWare has given us next to no information so far, and even if and when they do, who knows how much of it will turn out to be "alpha footage lol" or mere hype like the PC controls we'd all be super pleased with?

It will come out in 2017, some people will preorder it and once I've read enough player opinions after release I'll know what to expect. Not before.

My gut feeling tells me vaguely "a mediocre third person shooter with safe space compatible story elements". Maybe they'll surprise me, but likely not.

Lol, his expectation is based on his personal opinion about Biowares's recent game/s (which he has every right to have. People like different things, so it's normal that not everyone has the same opinion about game). Yours is an asinine comment in reaction of a person not liking/not liking as much as you do a game made/being made by (one of) your favorite company. Not really the same thing.

On a serious note OP, for now the only thing I expect is space.

Multiplayer to be great and a major step forward from ME3MP. As for Singleplayer...yeah, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

I expect a lot of horrible opinions from people who don't know how to think or reason properly. Just like I got with the recent gameplay leak.

*Shows off 5 seconds of jetpack jumping* "the game is turning into a horrible dude-bro shooter"

*Shows off Krogan and Humans in a 5 second cutscene* "I thought Bioware said there would be new races, they're just rehashing the OT"

*Shows off new environments* "Wow, this game doesn't take place in the MWG, it's not Mass Effect anymore!"

I could go on. I've finally come to terms with something after seeing the reactions to the leak, and the reactions to the FFXV demo that was just released. I really ******* hate gamers.

It's best to not have any expectations.

That way you have a genuinely fun time playing the game, and you aren't disappointed. Or pleasantly surprised.

Easier said than done, for sure.

What about space? Can I expect space?

Easier said than done, for sure.

So true.

I have to add, as soon as they show me a trailer / gameplay I'll be super hype-trained and not able to control my bladder.

So take this advice with a grain of salt!

I been gaming too long to have expectations. I have hopes the game serves up more of everything I loved about ME and less of everything I liked less.  Beyond that I wait til launch and see whats what before jumping in.

That when I click a dialogue option that says "I died," the resulting speech manages to fit in the words "I" and "died" somewhere in the response.

Playing ME2 again is like running around screaming and beating on dead walls. "I've been dead! I've been dead! I've been dead! Why can't I tell anyone I've been dead for the past 2 years?!"

I have similar expectations. I'm sure we'll get biowares usual formula of a diverse and interesting characters and a good story that sets up the next few games. Like you, I'm a bit worried by some of the precedents that DAI set, although I enjoyed DAI immensely. I hope that open world and exploration is integrated more tightly with the story. I also hope that combat mechanics aren't stripped away to the point where we don't have many abilities to use. DAI limited ability slots made combat fairly boring as I just used the same few abilities over and over. There wasn't really any strategy in combat. Honestly though, ME has never had strategic combat.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to MEA and expect I'll forgive its flaws while enjoying it for what it is. Nobody else makes games like BW and I really appreciate the type of games they make warts and all.

I'm expecting fun characters, pretty skyboxes, a fairly untainted and interesting universe (for now) and decent combat in-between. I don't believe I'll be disappointed to that end. I would like the game to embrace gun collecting though. Big ass display case please.

Extremely low. To the point that if it was all in 8-bit I wouldn't even be surprised.

It could be the best game ever made and still be completely ruined by the fact that it's set in the worst galaxy in the universe.
