I think BW needs to work on better hairstyles before they do something as big as facial recognition. Baby steps.

That's also something I was thinking too. It could be great, but I suspect the face would (at best) go into the Uncanny Valley.

It's already Uncanny valley with the custom faces you can create these days (including DAI). That's partly what makes some of the extra races disgusting to me. Very real, yet still so alien and monstrous.

that is the point of the extra races, they are naturally alien to us, humans.  As for Silent vs Voiced PC, I am a fan of both.

Agreed 100%. Sad that it took the Black Emporium update to have decent CC lighting. One thing is for sure, BW should never use green for the lighting of the CC. So many people with clown faces...

@ Stray: I see your point, but I'm more referring to a facial scan turning out more like Allers or Tallis. Which was the Uncanny Valley at it's best/worst. I know they were not on Frostbite, but when I'm talking about the Uncanny Valley, I'm referring to designs like that.

I am not ugly by any measure but my features are not exactly "heroic" either. 

Plus its a gimmick, I would rather them spend time on making a character creator with more options, more hair styles, more hair colours, more variation across the board.

If it looked okay that would be cool, sure.  Sadly that looked like ****.  The head and texture of the face didn't in any way fit the way the rest of the body/character did.  it looked like some shitty thing you'd see in a comedy spoof or something.  So no, I hope they don't do it...at least not till the tech actually looks decent.
