Looking to play some lower level stuff havent touched the game in about a year is there much of a player base still on PC for low level play?

Surprisingly yes. It's not huge, but it's not difficult to find a game. Weekends and late afternoon/evenings are your best bet.

Nope.

I assume the lower difficulties are less populated than the higher ones but there are still people playing and when you meet players in a difficulty you feel comfortable with make up friends. That helps get someone to play with more often and sometimes there are just connection issues, so even if there are public lobbies open or you opened one other can´t connect.

If you love the game, by all means play it. I still play a game or two sometimes, but overall...no.
