I'd prefer not to hear anything of Shepard again, and depending on exactly when the Ark started its voyage, the people on it may have never heard of them. May it be so. I grew attached to my Shepards in ME1 and ME2, but their canonical archetype was always one I disliked, and ME3 destroyed what little regard I had left.

So, Commander Shepard signing off, that happened in ME3 as far as I'm concerned, and the further in the past I can leave that the better.

Agreed.

I don't want Shepard or "The Shepard" to ever be mentioned.  Nor any of their adventures, companions, or their impact on the galaxy.

That story was told, and told horribly.  Keep as far away from that baggage as possible.

I hope Shepard won't appear, time to let go and start with a new hero or heroine

Got to love how the topics flow back and forth between "We don't want Shepard in ME:A" to "We do want Shepard in ME:A" with the occasional "We want a relative of Shepard in ME:A"

I just love how inconsistent and confused this place can get.

I would like some sort of cameo, like a human with the last name of Shepard, saying he can retrace his ancestors back to Commander Shepard or a squad mate that looks like default Shepard with a different name.

And shout out to Ashley Williams, she is -141 years old today, only 167 years until she dies in Virmire.

We should never forget Shepard.

but bringing Shepard back in any form will just reopen old wounds.

Of course, i'm already certain Ryder will not be a Shepard. We will not get another Garrus, Wrex or even a Joker etc. If Inquisition is any indication none of the cast will be as memorable. Instead they'll be like a family from a sitcom. RIP. Sorry i'm just really cynical, until I atleast see gameplay or voice work i'm not holding my breath.

Considering how the third game went, I can disassociate Shepard from Mass Effect and think of the series as being about more than just one protagonist.

I think its better for the series to move on anyway, considering how bad the trilogy ended. Need to move forward.
