Another Mass Relay video from 2013.

Thoughts?

It's not from ME:A, it's a really old Mass Relay concept from 2005.

It's not real. Apparently that is an early concept for a Mass Relay from before Mass Effect 1 even came out.

I'll copy and paste my response from the other thread:

This isnt legit. After it was "leaked" on reddit, Shinobi said "this is fake" and people quickly figured out that it was a very early design concept for a relay from ME1 from like 2005 or something like that.

I would link to the reddit thread, but apparently the mods took it down because it was confirmed to not be a legit leak.

Again, like I said before, this was from a cached version of a website of a VFX developer from 2013 who was working on Mass Effect Andromeda.

Give me more to go on before I throw it out the airlock!

Also, it sort of amuses me that people are so easy to believe this was from 2013 because some clickbait site reported as such. Look how shitastic the graphics are, even for a conceptual animation. It shouldn't take much to raise the skepticism alarm, compared to the much more obviously legit leak from pretty much same day.

Just because it's an old unused concept that doesn't mean they can not use it for MEA.

Except its not. Maybe the same artist worked on both games, but its not from Andromeda. Like I said, it was quite thoroughly debunked on reddit, and now the thread is apparently gone - I assume because the moderators didnt want people discussing such an obviously false leak when there was already a leak megathread from the obviously legit leak that had hundreds of responses.

I went into the cache of the same site and found it myself, anyone can do it. It was posted in at least March of 2013. Also, this is from the SAME guy who unintentionally released the big thing yesterday.

Same site, same guy, same time frame.

Looking at his resume, he never worked on Mass Effect the trilogy.

Try again brother?

Although this is totally fake, I think it would be cool if the Andromeda galaxy had it's own relays that had a slightly different design. Why not resurrect one of the early relay concepts?

And they could call it a stargate! Oh, wait.

I'm not sure you understand how burden of proof works. It's on you, man.

Like I said, this was already debunked both on reddit and by Shinobi, an industry insider with a good track record who correctly legitimized the previous Andromeda leaks. The reddit thread was deleted, I assumed by moderators since there was already a leak thread, but it seems like the person who posted it may have deleted it himself. Maybe out of embarrassment, who knows. Someone else posted another thread about it just a little while ago. If people debunk it in that thread too, I will link it.

But another reason why this is obviously not from Andromeda is because it doesn't even pass any "common sense"criteria...like at all. A) it looks like absolute **** for even a basic animation from 2013. B ) EA immediately shut down the prior legit leak literally minutes after it was released, and they proceeded to shut down mirror links too until it got so out of hand that they gave up. Guess what they've done with this "leak"? Exactly nothing, because they don't care about it, because it isn't legit.

I'd rather they just have these Mass Relays:

It depends on who designed the relays. If the Reapers designed them, than I agree that they should be identical to the Milky Way's network.

They should look a bit different however if the technology evolved independently of the Reapers.

Shinobi didnt even bother elaborating in his response to this guy. He just blatantly states "that's fake".

https://mobile.twitt...53327964160?p=v

And here is the current new thread on reddit discussing this "leak". One user has already cited the other (deleted) thread in which it was debunked as ME1concept.

https://www.reddit.c...video_found_in/

Also, now the VFX developers portfolio that this was reportedly taken from is now locked down and inaccessible. Meaning no one can confirm the source. Convenient.

I will follow up with Shinobi.

One, EA hasn't cracked down in the same way, but to be fair they haven't cracked down on ALL of the leaks and mirrors of the leaks from yesterday.

Two, it's from the same source at a time wherein he was not working with Mass Effect.

Three, the place where I found this cached version of the video hours ago is now under a password lock.

Four, like the previous graphics, this is a tech demo that follows the identical levels of graphical fidelity.

I posit this to you, there is a chance that this was an early development of the Mass Effect Relay needed to transport humans to the selected cluster in the Andromeda game. Keep throwing issues with it and I'll keep suggesting reasonable doubt

Reasonable doubt? You mean like the reasonable doubt provided by the fact that EA is completely ignoring it, an industry insider claims it isnt legit, and the only known source of this footage is now under password lock, conveniently making it impossible for anyone else to verify anything about the origins of it?

I dont know man, I would concede that it could be some early Andromeda concept footage, but literally everything about this "leak" is sketchy as ****.

I agree it's not air tight but it's a LITTLE more concrete than we originally thought no?

you've already been told that it's fake with links to proof.  Yet you still want to be too thick-headed and want to carry this on.

As others said "proof" is on you.  Not those that already gave said proof it's fake.  You just don't want to accept it cause special snowflake.

it's fake, deal with it.  Or go on fooling yourself because...special snowflake.

Apparently the video was added in 2011 (archive.org). That rules out Andromeda.
