Not really. They went from one system to another. In the Mass Effect universe, that is only done with Faster Than Light(FTL) travel. Or are you saying they went sub-light speeds? Also, what you think they did is a form of FTL travel.

I'd care. I do want the ME universe to still feel somewhat unique, consistent with what was established before and most importantly feel like Mass Effect. The way star travel works is a vital part of it.
Mind you, I wouldn't mind if we had a new way to travel (and I don't expect Andromeda to have the same relays as the Milky Way, in fact, that would be odd and in need of its own explanation). But I am saying that this is a vital part of the lore, which to me is very important, so I don't consider "Who cares?" a good attitude towards this kind of thing.
