Is EA/Bioware forgiven?

Before you say no, you have to take into account that they removed the Donald Trump ****. So that simply has to claw some points back. :)

Personally, I think so. The game is several years old now. They gave us an improved ending and free multiplayer DLCs. And I mean... Ten minutes at the end of a game doesn't ruin the hundreds I spent before that in the trilogy, or the hundreds of hours I've put into multiplayer.

So maybe forgive but don't forget?

It was a funny thread.

This is unforgiveable.

Pre-order cancelled.

Seriously, though, I'm willing to give Bioware another chance. They've made some games I really enjoy. The Mass Effect franchise is my favorite game series of all time. I'll wait to see the reviews, but I will most likely buy Andromeda. I'm largely over ME3 and the ending fiasco.

BioWare isn't my girlfriend. I don't need to forgive a company. If the game is good, I will buy it. If it is not good, I probably won't buy it.

meant the Twitter BS, but they took down that too. :)

Glad to see someone released from the barrel of hate at least. :)

Well, the only game that came out since Magic Effect 3 is Inquisition, so yes and no. I have some faith in the Dragon Age team, even though i'm kinda pessimistic since even Gaider jumped ship, but Mass Effect Andromeda? I'm 90% sure it's not gonna be a "Bioware" game and 99% sure it's not gonna be a Mass Effect game. Probably one last attempt to get money out of the name, which i hate since i love the Mass Effect (not Mass Magic) Universe

It depends upon who you ask. I agree with Kilroy on this one. I'm not upset at BioWare/EA one way or the other at this point. I am unlikely to pre-order ME:A, but it isn't because I have any real hatred towards the company. The patch cycle for DA:I was bonkers for the first few months, and I'd rather avoid some of that in the future. I'd rather wait and then do one big patch update rather than constantly patching every 2-4 weeks.

The company is pitiful, the company's branch is pitiful as well. What I don't forgive them is that they insist with the same politics they've chosen to take since years. Just look at what treatment this "social" network is subjected to, to taste proof of what I'm saying.

Would you forgive an Ardat Yakshi and risk falling in love with it? Despite the danger she presents to you and the rest of humanity? Because that's really what we're talking about here. Trusting an Ardat Yakshi is like making love to a BioWare rep. Or was that the other way around? In any case they're dangerous, Ardat Yakshi I mean, not BioWare; they wouldn't hurt a fly if it had jeans. Jeans have hip pockets of course and so do Ardat Yakshi and BioWare devs. That's probably where they keep the captured souls of Casey Hudson and a thousand virgin Asari lost to Ardat Yakshi misadventures.

So unless you wanna die a virgin because a bioware dev sucked your soul out and gave it to an Ardat Yakshi; I recommend you buy this game. Its food for the soul not soul food for Ardat Yakshi.

So he should go.

There is a difference between forgive and forget. I have forgiven BioWare? In a way, yes. At least for the Dragon Age franchise. I liked Inquisition, and I had a lot of fun (is not a perfect game, but even with its problems it was a very enjoyable game for me) so I have some hope for the company's work.

But I haven't forgotten about the past ME trilogy. So I will see anything about Andromeda with suspicious. ME3 left some scars I can't forget, I had loved the ME universe too much, and I felt burnt.

Because making an entertainment product that you don't have to buy but you don't like is grounds for execution.

That is also my impression.

I don't much care about internet drama and EA/Bioware betraying my trust and such other dramatic words. They make video games. If the game looks good, I'll buy it. And I usually do some research on a game before I buy. So for instance, DA2 I bought later than on release, and didn't buy the DLC for it (I watched Legacy on Youtube), because I had bad vibes from that game. I didn't for Inquisition, so I bought it. Simple.

EA is literally the worst thing to happen to gaming so no. Bioware...well probably not. I am not a forgiver, but if they make a game I want to play then maybe....

We'll shall see when ME:A is released will convince me to trust them. But I'm keeping my expectations low until they earned that trust.

I think EA is better than a lot of companies right now and don't deserve all the **** they get. And for Bioware i can't speak about other games, but Mass Effect never disappointed me.

I don't see how EA false DMCA'ing a youtube video counts as "points in their favor", but whatever.

In any case, if they make a good game I'll buy it, if not then I won't. Like Killroy said, I'm not in a relationship with them.

Mass Effect hasn't disappointed me yet so I wouldn't say I'm at the point where I have to forgive Bioware. EA I've always been indifferent on, they've had both their good and bad moments.

Also this. If I like the game than I'll buy it, if I don't than I'll ignore it.

Bio taught me a valuable lesson about marketing and the "snake oil sales pitch". I thank Bio for the lesson and won't make the same mistake again.

Therefore, no pre-order, no expectations.
