Summary
Incinerate
- Duration bonuses and penalties do not affect Incinerate damage or DOT length on Insanity.
- Damage v armor (2.4x multiplier) and shields (1x multiplier) is instant, and does expected damage.
- Damage v organic health does majority of damage instantly on impact, then does DOT for total length of ~2.64s (actual), always* divided into 180 ticks.
- Total damage v organic health is higher than expected (1.267x), but does not vary with duration bonus from Tech Duration research or Mechanic.
- Bonus damage scales with Tech Damage research. (DOT / impact calculation bugged?)
- Impact damage is 0.867x expected damage, DOT damage total is 0.4x expected damage
- Incinerate DOT will instakill a Husk.
Reave
- Duration bonuses and penalties do affect Reave damage.
- Biotic Duration and passive duration bonus combine additively. Insanity duration penalty multiplies that sum.
- Damage to protections is applied instantly, damage to health is applied in relatively equal DOT ticks.
- Total damage v protections is as expected.
- Damage v organic health is very close to expected.
- Measured DOT length was shorter than expected.
General
- Both DOTs tick about every 0.015s resulting in many ticks per cast on an organic target.
- Tick rate is about 60 per game time second.
- DOT length is lower than expected for both on Insanity. (time compression?)
*Except one time the Trooper was laying on the ground after being ragdolled by the grenade launcher. That Incinerate only did 150 ticks for whatever reason and had reduced total damage (relative to other tests) as a result.
