The problem with the tactical camera was range. By the time you get close enough to actually examine an enemy you're almost into combat anyway.

You could examine enemies at extreme range by using the mouse pointer. Only with a controller were you limited by the range of the camera.

Plus it's problem with elevations.

That was a real problem, but not unique to KBM.

The tactical camera wasn't very "tactical".

It was the only auto-attack available at launch, and made it easy to give diverse orders (including move orders) to multiple party members simultaneously.

It's also the only way to interact with objects or loot at range.

I agree, I still think one of the bigger limitations on the Kb/M design was that the commands were broken apart just a little too much and either having a couple of abilities grouped on the same key or mapping the same key to different abilities if I am doing different things such as combat, tactical combat, or exploration.

Doesn't the controller do the same thing, though?

Honestly, if you watch the little footage we have about them sitting in their offices playing their builds, I'd be surprised if it hadn't controller support because I've never seen them use m+kb.

Knowing Bioware it will have full controller support and KBM will take a backset.

It will, most likely. Dragon Age Inquisition had it, why MEA wouldn't have? It's the same engine after all. And since X360 gamepad is the most popular PC gamepad, it will be supported amongst the first. If 360 wouldn't be supported then none will either.

There is of course the chanse that the support will be ripped deliberately because of some "designer decision"...

Let's hope we'll get the option to use our controllers for the PC version. I am NOT going to buy a console to play on a controller. Nor will I buy a game without controller support for PC because keyboard/mouse just doesn't feel right in the living room enviorment.

PC gamers love options, choices, best graphics, performance and mod support. That's just how we are and I can safely make that claim for all of us.

I think it will likely have it personally although I don't really use my 360 controller for anything other than Fifa these days. I prefer a mouse keyboard setup for most of my games.

the mouse is the best when you have to shoot something. why would any pc player want controller support?

Because a Controller is better than a mouse to play on a PC when it's setup in the living room. duh? Did you not read my post?

PC gaming is about options and a controller is just another option for us PC gamers to use.

AC unity supports PS4 controller natively ? I never used PS4 controller on PC before. Don't you need unofficial driver to make that thing work in the first place?

It works natively with AC unity. Some other games need DS4 Tools.

That's very interesting.

If it's not so much to ask, can you tell  me what other PC games support PS4 controller naitivly without DS4 tools?

AC Unity has full support, showing all inputs as ps4 buttons(square, triangle, circle, x, etc). Fallout 4 shows xbox inputs  but it does work without DS4 tools.

Rise of the tomb raider, dragon age inquisition has no ps4 controller support therefore DS4 Tools is needed. These are the games that I have installed right now.

It varies from game to game, game maker to game maker, some will include full support as ubisoft did, others will have support of some degree like fallout 4 and others will have none as Rise of the Tomb Raider and Dragon Age Inquisition did.
