Still, if you do everything right, you can get 1 war asset in ME3 from Conrad.

Conrad isn't really important to the main plot, but his side story throughout the trilogy is really funny and in the 3rd game gives you one asset (you'll understand what it is when you get to ME3
)
As for the visuals of ME1, I really liked the 80's SciFi theme and music, growing in the 80's/90's with those
some of the music themes from ME1 are among my favourites in all games, especially the Virmire battle theme, Therum and of course the post ending theme, the trilogy have provided some of the best music I ever heard in games.
As I told a friend when I completed the trilogy several times : Mass Effect isn't just a gaming experience, it's a life experience ![]()

Which involves completing a rather surprising number of seemingly unimportant sidequests in ME1. In ME2, you just have to help him out once.Still, if you do everything right, you can get 1 war asset in ME3 from Conrad.
One tip to the OP, buy those shop licenses.
Still, ME1 is my overall favourite, despite the mechanical improvements of the later games.
