Read a post by NextArishok where he was complaining about the lenght of a game he had, gave me this idea.

 

What's the longest/most chaotic game you've experienced in MP ?

Feel free to talk about your experience, whether it's a solo or a full party.

 

I'll go first :

 

- My longest run is a solo platinum, FHE, Acolyte + CSMG, Reapers on Giant Hazard, made the mistake of not equipping Geth Scan  : 107 minutes...

 

I was quite excited when I started the match, I was recording and even providing live commentary for the occasion.

Had to erase it because part 7 to 10 was corrupted (yes I said part 10) but I remember how it went.

First couple of waves were okay, I was full of energy, jokes, witty remarks, foolling around, banter, taunting banshees and brutes like I'm a torreador...

As the game progresses, you can see and hear me sink into exhaustion/despair as the banshees' scream

and constant chasing slowly but surely drives me insane.

At the end of the match, I was genuinely worn-out, both physically and mentally.

When saw the duration it took me 15 actual seconds to realize that 107 didn't mean 1h07 but 1h47...

80+ minute Plat Solo with a Cabal on Condor.

It would have to be my first attempt at a plat solo.

Firebase white, geth. It was a saturday evening and I was about 45 mins into it when nature grabbed me by the bladder and said YOU MUST GO NOW (in Vorcha voice).

I cant remember the wave but the best I could do was lead one Prime to the LZ and run and hide at the Farming corner with my cobra.

Anyways, after I ran frantically to the bathroom (and I totally swear I washed my hands)... I returned to find that my kid had missiled the Prime.

Yes it was the longest game I can remember but that short moment when I seen the joy in my son's face that he felt like he protected his dad and saved the day....

That was priceless.

It's not what we play but who we share these memories with.

 These are a few examples back when I 1st began to solo...

 

......... 1st completed silver solo 76 minutes as a shadow-strike only Shadow versus cerberus on ghost  ....no geth scanner back then

 

........ 2nd completed silver solo..... 58 minutes... kroguard vs geth on reactor.....

 

longest failed gold solo....87 minutes as a tgi harrier ( <---- level 2, imagine how many ammo box runs )  vs geth on rio...I failed wave 10 targets cuz I had no rockets left......

 

as for a team game.... it will take me a little while to recall.....

Ok, why not.

 

I was playing my alt, getting more and more frustrated with junky PUGs. I'd had enough. I grabbed my Juggernaut, totally ready to solo Gold, but couldn't find any decent/usual weapons for him. So I made a choice, a bad one. I took the Reegar. I know some people can make that worked on him, but my god that was bad. 60 minutes later I fail wave 10 Objective. Even my first Gold solo with him didn't take that long to complete. Never taking the Reegar on him again.

My platinum solo is 2 hours of my life I'll never get back (but I'm OK with that).

 

My most fun long game was a gold solo that got glitched.

 

I've told the story before - Kroguard vs Geth on Reactor. Wave 6 was an escort.

 

And the drone vanished right before getting to the target.

 

But the wave didn't end. Time didn't run out. Geth just kept spawning.

 

It was Kroguard Valhalla. Endless Geth! I figured I'd just keep going until they took me down.

 

45 minutes of Geth Trashing later, the drone recovered and ended the wave.

 

I don't know how long the entire game was. I do remember I got over 600,000 points at the end of it, though...

Who is the person that had that 1,000 minute bronze game? ....that was the stuff of legend.   Crimson, wasn't that you?...that person left 1 nemesis alive and then put rubber-bands on their controller.

Well, for obvious reasons I wont consider my solos.

 

But, longest game for me was my first platinum game where I decided to be a carrier. At that point I have played platinum, but I never was the best one in the room. That time I decided to go as the alfa. Set lobby to silver, wait it to fill up, play one warm up game on gold. After that switch that same lobby to platinum, two players stayed. One of them delivered, equipped himself, used consumables wisely, etc.

 

But, fourth player in the lobby was some troll (or at least I hope he wasn't serious about everything). He was even mentioned here as a troll. He would use his missiles on the start of early waves and then shout at us for not doing the same. He used n7 Slayer and spammed the sh1t out of the shockwave. Called us stupid and just been uselles mean c*nt.

 

Game lasted over one hour as a PUG (good one) and I  had to duo most of the game, and even solo a wave or two . But, it was most fun that I had with ME3MP for a quite some time.

It's not what we play but who we share these memories with.

 

Amen brother.  The game is just the backdrop and what pulls you in initially.  The people you play with and the craziness that goes on as well as the conversations you have is what its all about.  Gaming is so great because of your friends.

 

The games these days get boring very fast, but if you have someone that you click with, you will play that game every night and laugh your butt off the whole time.

No I don't believe we did.

Let me see...I played Street Fighter II on Sega Mega Drive, pretty much all Super Mario and Megaman games + Ninja Turtles on NES (+some other stuff I forgot about), a bit of Mario Kart on Nitendo 64 and I rocked Final Fantasy XII on Playstation 2, that's about it.

Oh wait, I played some Kirby on Gameboy too, but all that was a very long time ago if I'm being honest, why do you ask ?

 

Seriously though, I'm on PC, I'm gonna bet you're PSN, am I right ?

Correct and on Xbox live as well, I own multiple consoles lol. I asked because I thought it'd be fun to game together sometime, but if you're on pc... I am an ex PC gamer and I simply don't like gaming on it after having gamed on consoles for many years.

I understand, I have played so little console in the pas 15 years that it's usually a dreadful experience when I try it, especially for shooters.

That's too bad I would have enjoyed that, I guess we weren't meant to be together after all 

I find comfort in the fact that the future official 2016 BSN Queen Nightman is coming to us soon

Yup had this happen to me as well, but on a gold solo against reapers. It'd started on wave 3 but by around wave 7 or 8 it'd become so unbearable that I just had to go. It was around 45 minutes by that time but those 45 minutes felt like an eternity!

            So I somehow killed all the enemies except this one last ravager and that I got down to the last two bars of armor. Then I kited it to the opposite side of the map and hid myself in the landing zone in giant behind a counter so that I couldn't be hit by those ravager cannons. 

 

Sad to say that by the time I finished and came back, the ravager had crawled all the way back to me and had killed me with showers of acid and swarmers. And in place of your son, was my sister laughing hysterically, which didn't help at all!

 

But I vented it all on bronze as a krogan warlord with armored compartments.
