Anyway, I've never had a truly long game. I had a 30-some minute gold game where I basically had to solo everything because of incompetent PUGs... That's basically it.

I am french yes, it is an expression so it won't translate literally but I think you got the gist of it.

Yup that sounds like an english version of it, how about that, looks like the horse became a leopard, intersting...

My two only gold solos on Giant as Kroguard against Geth. PyroReegar, you know. 35 min both. Never again.

Longest game would be a 97 min plat solo with the awful Avenger equipped on a doubly awful Volus Sentinel on an even more awful Condor against the wonderful Collectors (totally makes up for all the previous awfulness). I had a few hours of free time and I decided to do this instead of being productive.

 

That was hardly chaotic, though. Solos rarely are. A few pugs would get the vote for most chaotic. Hard to pick one. When I pugged plat for the first few times, a lot of them were chaotic.

As Slasher said, solos even though some of them took a very long time are rarelly chaotic.

Pug games and Platinum pug games especially can be - when you have some moron spawn nuking on the other side of the map during an objective wave making the new spawn appear right next to the last device or right infront of the escort etc can be. Or when you get a wave 10 center hack on London vs platinum Collectors or Geth and two of the pugs decide they are to good for sitting in the hack circle, the list of pug behaviour that can make a game really chaotic is indeed a long one - oh pugs.

Outside of solos and team games that ended up being solos past wave 2, the longest full team game I've seen was 42 minutes long. I actually made a post about it way back when in the "last pug in one word" thread.

So I land in a GiP only to be greeted by a barrage of gunfire, a couple of teammate has flatlined  and the announcer getting his panties in a bunch over a drone that's not moving while still in the loading screen. Which is already a good indication that dis gon b gud. When I finally loaded in I realized just how big of a fustercluck it was. Cerby/ Rio wave 10, one guy is kaput, another is hiding in the box of shame (and later gets synced), a Juggy is trying to take on a Phantom bum rush party only to get smacked repeatedly and bleed out and I have a couple of Atlases and a turret pinning me down at the LZ. Oh, and there's a an escort drone on the bridge and a little over a minute left, good luck. -.-

 

Long story short, a few missiles later I managed to clutch wave 10 and wave 11 went surprisingly smooth and according to SOP- camp the back area of the map until roughly 30 seconds out and then gun it towards the shuttle. Full extraction. I was last on the post game scoreboard (naturally, although I did manage to get 10 HS, 25 kills and 10 assists medal) and the other 3 guys had roughly the same score of 100k. I then take a look at the time- 42 minutes! Hands down the longest team game I've ever seen. At this point I was sure the 3 guys were newbies who bit way more than they could chew and it was admirable that they even made it to wave 10. Then we got back to the lobby... 2 guys were wearing BotB while the other had an alternate Lone Wolf and all 3 were carrying URs that were rank 7 or higher. I wasn't sure how to process this information so I just left without saying anything.

I still remember a particularly painful Rio/Cerberus/Gold game I played with one maxed manifest friend (Who ONLY used Acolyte+CSMG on EVERYTHING), and two PUGs. These were the useless kind of PUGs, not good even as decoys. Wave 10 Devices, we failed,  Device placements sucked, enemies spawn, kiting refused to happen (Because slow-arse Atlases), it sucked.

 

To this day, I haven't preset Cerberus/Rio once. That was a traumatizing experience for someone semi-new to Gold (I spent way too long on Silver because bad PUGs everywhere).
