So I have about 220-ish games in now and some early impressions and comments.

1. I REALLY REALLY hate the “server migration” error. (As well as other connection errors)

2. It bothers me that Keeper (my fav) and Assassin have such  ridiculously, ugly haircuts when the AC has a much better one. GRRRRRRR!!!

3.  I dislike that we can’t choose what potions we get. It’s a complete waste of gold and feels like BW just gave us the finger.

4. Most of the people I have met so far have been really nice and I have a lot more PS4 friends now. I also don’t understand why some players are HUGELY vulgar at times. A few players seem obviously “disturbed”. I am glad we have the mute option.

5. My handle on the game is “Autumn_Witch” which seems fairly easy to put together that I am female. Right? Yet the things that come out of some people’s mouth’s are quite funny and embarrassing. Last night two lads had a nice long conversation about “masturbation techniques” while we were playing.  (I have lost my mic so I can’t speak BTW). One guy last night was talking to another about me and actually said, “Autum_Witch was to be a dude cuz he plays too good.”  I don’t know if I should be insulted or complimented. Both? XD

6. I am fairly happy with the loot I am getting from chests. I have lots of 25 level weapons/stuff with not too many games played. I feel a bit spoiled for choice at this part.

7. For some reason when I go to the store directly AFTER defeating a high dragon (on any level) I get MUCH MUCH better chests. Works like a charm for me.

8. I have played all the characters now and my fav are Keeper (way ahead of the others), Assassin and AW.

9. Is there anyway to smartly defeat the Saarebas quickly? They are really the only baddie that consistently frustrates me, esp when I solo. Someone suggested using Dispel but that seems like a waste of a spell slot to use just for that situation.

10. I love when I find groups that really want to play as a team. It is so much fun.

11. When I promote someone, I will solo them until I get to level 6-8 because I don’t want to run on the coattails of others but I don’t mind when people ride on mine. Makes me feel like I am helping.

12. I wish people who want to run with their mates would use a private match because it’s frustrates me when they ****** and moan when I join their group using “quick match”. Tho for the most part 99% of people so far are kewl.

13. I don’t understand we they didn’t let us craft armour upgrades.

14. I know this will sound silly, but when I am soloing and find one of the nice people to rescue, it makes me sad they don’t come along the whole way and are all by themselves where I leave them.

15. I love seeing all the extra footage of the Orlaisian Chateaus and villages. Wish we had more of that in SP.

16. I love the Assassin’s accent and voice.

17. I really hate the wraiths. Plus they seem so out of place.

18. Commander Druffy and I have met three times. The first time I was like WTF IS THIS?

19. Some people like doing the treasure rooms after clearing baddies, some like doing it while. I like the idea of doing after but either works for me. What annoys me is when people go to them on their own while others are clearing the baddies and then they get in trouble and call for help. Why not just wait and we can do it all together?

20. I have noticed, around 2 AM Pacific Time, the High Dragon levels are not available to me and some of my PS4 friends. I wonder why? I assume some sort of technical maintenance because its always around that time 7 days a week.

EDIT: I forgot to add, I have three "Superb Belt of the ... Pact" but they use so much health I don't care for the trade off. I assume they will be better once I get a higher CON?

Just my two pence.

1)  Agreed.

2) I don't really care about the haircuts.  I'm too busy killing things, most of the time

3) #RNG

4) tbf, it's the internet, so you're bound to run into those people.  On the upside, at least it isn't as bad as GTA Online or COD.

5) I ran into a group on ME3 MP a while back that had no idea with the Krogan Blood Rage was.  As for the comment, you should've immediately messaged him saying you weren't a guy just to hear his reaction  (I've lost my mic a couple times- why does the damn thing have to be so small?)

6) You've been lucky.  Many of us had to grind quite a bit for most of our high-level gear.

7) #RNG

8) Hard for me to pick a favorite, but my most-played characters are my Keeper, Arcane Warrior, Archer, and Katari (from most to least)

9) Soloing, it's all about putting out a lot of damage, since Saarebas are Elite enemies (much like the Sha-Brytol Earthshakers).  In a group, the best way is to focus your attacks on it, preferably with Barrier support helping you to shrug off most of the damage.

10) I'm at the point where I can effectively solo Threatening, but I don't jump onto Perilous all too often (most times I simply can't find any matches).  Though, nowadays I only play every so often, so all I really see now are people who're either experienced to the point where they can solo, or people who're barely scraping by.

11) The more you promote, the more effective you'll be at lower levels.  I've clutched Threatening matches at level 1 with the randoms being at least level 10+.

12) I haven't had the 'moaning' thing, but I have run into lobbies where people wanted me to leave so a friend of theirs could join or, more rarely, I simply was kicked without an explanation.  I can understand if the friend had connection issues mid-match and they left the lobby open for a 4th before starting the match, but in between matches you should be able to set the lobby to private while waiting on a friend.  Have yet to be kicked for bringing a level 1 to Threatening, though I know it's a thing.

13) I think it's a 'you can't have both' situation.  We can craft weapon upgrades, but not weapons, and we can craft armors, but not armor upgrades.  The idea is that we're agents of the Inquisition, so we don't have access to all the stuff the Inquisitor does.  At least, that's how I think about it.

14) The only one I can really understand going with you is the Captain, since he says that he would prefer to go with you (if the Messenger stuck with us, I'd let him die).  Though, considering the rather pathetic AI, it's probably for the best that they leave at the end of the zone.

15) It's definitely interesting.  I would've liked it if it was fleshed out more, though.

16) Her constant grunts can get a little annoying, but I don't mind her voice, for the most part.

17) Wraiths are annoying, since they deal spirit damage.  Best way to defend against them is to raise your willpower.  Either that, or kill them as soon as you see them.

18) You met him a lot faster than I did (I had to wait a few months after jumping to PS4 before I got a glimpse of the Druffy faction)

19) I'm fine with either way too, but I prefer getting it while in the middle of clearing the zone because it flows better than backtracking.  It's a common thing to have someone open a treasure room when they obviously can't handle the guardian (Arcane Horror or Revenant).  I had a match a while ago where the entire rest of the team got dropped by a single Revenant while I was mopping up the rest of the zone.  They were all around where the Revenant was, so it seemed its triple swipe had killed them all (the triple swipe has a wide hitbox, so the best way to avoid it is to either be directly behind it, or get some distance)

20) Haven't had this issue.  2AM Pacific is about 5-6AM Eastern, right?

Feel free to toss me an invite, if you want.  I don't mind carrying people (my PSN ID is in my sig).  btw, what time zone are you?

My litmus test is, if I can solo the character through the Routine Qunari level, then I move them to Threatening and so forth. So far only my Keeper can solo through any Threatening levels but not yet the Qunari level. Once she can, moving on up!

Thanks I will add you to my invite list!

1. working as intended, I got blue screened right before we killed a dragon on nightmare the other night. gg

2. yeah its a little odd...

3. soon enough you'll be maxed pots

4. unfortunately too many "special" people

5. everyone is a guy on the internet, less headaches

6. enjoy that RNG while you can

7. just luck I believe

8. I could never get use to the keeper, preferred rogues

9. its basically a dps race, rock armor pot helps a lot.  pop that and regen, then bust out your hardest hitting spells/abilities

10. you have better luck in finding groups than I.  seems like I get either very green players or people who really really do

11.  I tend to run a threatening FC on my level 1s, tends to give me just enough xp to get what I need for perilous

12. for some reason the complaining happens a lot on threatening, perilous to a degree but mainly from new players who are over their heads

13. they hate us I think

14. what about the snooty messenger?

15. more Ferelden would have been nicer I thought, each their own.

16. voices are good, conversations can be a little off

17. wraiths are a litmus test I believe, if you get one shotted then you need to go down a level.

18. the nugs are the best

19. they either were optimist about getting a free chest or had a brain fart.  like the archer that opened the treasure room on a nightmare fc and was promptly face planted.

20. seems odd that you couldn't select that particular map at that time.

21. storm pact belt, lightning staff ( heart of pride/hakkon ), and AW will be your new fav

Not really worth it when you have a low promotions, since the Pact belts take 75% of your health.  Arcane Warrior is a different story, since your Barrier generation is dependent on your damage output.  Grab a decent staff with lightning damage and equip the Storm Pact belt and you're going to do a lot more damage than you normally would.

Thanks for the tip!

It isn't universal good advice. If your health is low enough to be one to two shot to begin with, it doesn't matter if you have 500 health or 1. You might as well put on a pact belt at that point.

That said, for Saarebas and other bosses, you'll want to keep a mighty offense potion around. This gives you additional damage vs barriers and guard, and increases your base damage, which increases everything else.

I played around with it last night and soloed a few areas. It worked like a charm but I can see how running with a team would make it even better (less baddies trying to kill just me). :)

Storm belt works amazingly well with AW.  And in a team, you could take that passive which reduce aggro... no one will even touch you.   And your teammates do not have to know why they are taking the heat and you are getting all the kills. :P

I need to add another one.

21. I despise it when three players are back in a treasure room, and the forth runs out the door into a new area without using the healing font when ALL THE OTHER FREAKING PLAYERS ARE RED LINE HEALTH!  Really? So un-freaking-cool!

Yea some people don´t care but in most cases players use it. Sometimes it happens to me,too. Walking to next zone and I think I used the healing or I didn´t pay attention, but it´s rare.

More annoying is when all players are at full health except me and they use the healing ... if I would not wear an urgency belt -.- :D

If it was the host that zoned you he/she is probably punishing you guys as they want to skip the treasure rooms for faster completions, which is fair.

If it wasn't the host, then it's rude.

I'm guilty of doing that a lot when I am host

If he was host, then I wouldn't mind getting pulled to the next zone, if I was you.  If the host wants to speed run, I'm not going to complain, but if the person who pulls us is not the host, I'll be pretty damn annoyed.

Only way it could be worse is if you had just cleared the room of guardians and got pulled right before you could grab the chest.  Had that happen quite a bit, and it's frustrating as all hell.  It's something that could get me to drop a kick vote, which isn't something I do often.

As for not grabbing the pot, either he wasn't paying attention, or didn't care.  The former is forgivable.  The latter is annoying, but at least you can go back and grab the pot.

It was really annoying because we had to go into 5/5 with red line health to start off!  GRRRRRR!!!!!

Reaver could get her health down pretty fast even after getting the fountain full health.  Usually it is the Lego or SS wilth full guard with SBoU wearing no HOK who doesn't want the health.
